Still, it wasn’t enough for the Eagles to cross the victory line.

The Hawks stole the victory in the final quarter when only a few minutes were left. They defeated the Eagles with 3 points, grabbing a 20-17 win. As it was unexpected for the franchise, especially after controlling the game in almost all quarters, the team and senior players are thoroughly upset and frustrated with the results.

In the presser post-game, Jason Kelce appeared to give his views on the matchup. He said, “We had the opportunities there, it’s a very tough game to lose….so, yeah, frustrating.” He concluded by saying that he and his team will be aiming to win the upcoming games, despite facing some tough pills to swallow in the recent clashes.

This matchup wasn’t easy for Kelce, as a false start penalty was issued to him during the game. This majorly resulted in the Eagles falling out on the scoreboard. But why was Kelce penalized?

The red flag on Jason Kelce proved to be costly!

During the game on Monday night, the Eagles faced a setback when Jason Kelce was penalized for a false start. This penalty happened in the red zone, preventing them from attempting a play called the “tush push.” Fans were not happy with the officials’ decision. The penalty was called just as the Eagles were setting up for a third-and-1 play, with officials believing Kelce moved the football before the snap.

Even though an overhead replay showed Kelce’s body was still moving, the ball was moving in his hand before the team was fully set. The Eagles had to settle for a field goal on that drive. Later, multiple reports confirmed that the referees made the right call. However, many fans on social media disagreed, finding the false start confusing and expressing their displeasure, with some even calling it a phantom penalty.

Nevertheless, the Eagles lost 20-17 to the Seahawks, dropping from the first seed to the second seed in the NFC East.
