The Jets‘ season has been all over the place. It’s a freaking mess to be very honest. And it also looks like Garrett Wilson is starting to hit his limit. After a tough 14-40 loss against the Bills, the young wide receiver, one of the few bright spots on the offense, isn’t holding back. Wilson’s feelings pretty much echo what a lot of Jets fans are thinking.

The game against the Bills was a disaster. It started with some heat when Jets’ Tyron Smith shoved Bills’ Alec Anderson, setting the tone for a chippy game. But the real frustration came when Aaron Rodgers couldn’t make the throws that mattered. Early in the first quarter, he missed a pass to Kenny Yeboah, throwing it way too short. Wilson later summed up the whole thing, saying, “It’s frustrating, but it’s going to make those good times down the road that much more enjoyable because we went through things like this.” Too bad those ‘good times‘ feel pretty far away after another rough outing.

It just got worse in the second quarter. With only 20 yards to go, Rodgers messed up again, missing a pass to Davante Adams. The throw was way too short and got picked off by Jordan Phillips. It was another sign that Rodgers couldn’t get it together, and it just made the Jets’ offense look worse. With less than two minutes left in the third quarter. Rodgers basically just froze, failing to make a play before getting tackled by Ed Oliver. Once he was out, the Jets finally woke up, with Garrett Wilson scoring a touchdown and Tyler Conklin adding another. But by then, it was already too late.

Now, beyond the loss, the bigger issue is Garrett Wilson’s future with the team. His comments have made it clear that if Rodgers stays as the starter in 2025, Wilson might look to bounce. It’s understandable. Wilson is one of the best young receivers out there, and he wants to be in a system where he can actually thrive. Not be stuck with inconsistent QB play. If things don’t change, the Jets could lose Wilson, and that would be a huge blow to their future.

The Jets’ struggles are out of control, and now trade rumors about Garrett Wilson are popping out. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport spilled the beans that Wilson might dip if Aaron Rodgers is still QB1 in 2025. He said, “Privately, there have been questions regarding whether Rodgers and Wilson can find common ground since they had a blowup during training camp.

Wilson’s frustration is totally valid. He’s one of the best young WRs in the game, and Rodgers’s shaky play is straight-up holding him back. If the Jets don’t get their act together, they could fumble the bag and lose Wilson, who’s basically the future of the team. Rapoport added, “New York also received calls from teams interested in trading for Wilson after they acquired Davante Adams in October, and while they had no interest back then, a new GM might see him as a trade piece to help them acquire a new QB in the draft.” Let’s be real. Losing Wilson would sting way more than saying goodbye to Rodgers at this point.

With all this trade buzz heating up, the Jets’ front office needs to wake up and figure things out. They’ve gotta decide if keeping Rodgers is worth the drama of possibly losing Wilson. No cap, Rodgers is a legend, but his struggles lately aren’t it. If the Jets need to make a rational decision, they will lock in on Wilson. He’s the guy they need to build around for the long haul.
