Home/NFL

For the Browns, this season went further down after losing to the Dolphins 3-20. The HC Kevin Stefanksi is also having his worst season after taking up the reins in 2020. After week 17, they have a 3-13 win-loss record. The Athletic conducted a survey of the Dawg Pound before the season. It showed that they were not very optimistic about their season. And their worst fears came true.

However, the head coach made a bold claim against the other 31 NFL franchises on the 92.3 The Fan. While talking about his home advantage, he said, “We’ve got the best home field advantage in the NFL. We haven’t done enough as a football team to keep them (the fans) into it. It’s frustrating.” It’s understandable. No one would like to see their team lose.

However, Kevin Stefanski made a far-fetched claim. Even in The Athletic’s survey, the Browns fans were 28th among 32 teams in positivity for the season. Later, the team’s performance showed why they feared. They lost 6 of 8 games they played at the Huntington Bank Field.

Statistically, the Browns rank among the bottom teams with the best winning percentage at home. Overall, the Bills are the best team with a home advantage. They even defeated the Chiefs during the week 11 game at Highmark Stadium. But Kevin Stefanski must be feeling about the fans who still fill the stands to support their teams.

This season, the reason for their utter failure was simple. The absence of a stable, good quarterback. It often forced them to change their lineup.

When Deshaun Watson was at the helm for the first 7 games, they lost 6. With 253.9 offense yards per game, they were the worst in the league. So Kevin Stefanski went ahead with Jameis Winston. He initially showed promise. But the team lost 2 of 7 games he started.
