The Detroit Lions have been exceptional, ending the regular season with a record of 15-2. Everyone involved with the Lions has put their hand up this season and helped the team reach this stage. While the players and the HC will definitely get all the applause, there are a couple of other important people who have been instrumental in their success. The offensive and defensive coordinators for the Lions, Johnson, and Glenn have just been phenomenal.
The strategies and tactics implemented by them have impressed everyone who has seen the Lions play. This is the reason that Johnson and Glenn are 2 of the hottest names in the NFL circuit today and almost everyone wants to hire them. The two even had interviews with several teams, including the Raiders. Recently Lions HC Dan Campbell was asked about Johnson and Glenn, and whether he asked them how their interviews went. The Lions HC gave an honest answer to that. He said, “Well, why would I want to know that? You think I want them to leave?” “Yeah, I’ve got an idea of how they’re doing. I have not run in there and asked if they’re leaving yet.”

The Lions HC did say he had an idea of how they were doing but did not reveal any information on the same. Campbell, Johnson, and Glenn have worked together to make the Lions the team they are today. That said, the Lions HC would not want them to leave and certainly, from his end, would have tried to make them stay. Will that be possible though?
It seems very likely that at least one of Johnson or Glenn would leave the Lions at the end of the season. The Lions OC for one is currently the front-runner for the Bears’ job. While it seems like Glenn can look to go the Raiders’ way. If these moves happen, Campbell will have the tough task of replacing them on his hands, and that certainly won’t be easy. For now, though, all 3 of them are concentrated on their upcoming game against the Commanders.
Dan Campbell and the Lions are ready to perform
Over the last few years, the Lions have been under constant spotlight. The team themselves had a topsy-turvy ride and have seen it all these past years. Now they are finally playing their best game and will look to reach the Super Bowl for the first time in franchise history. A few days back, Dan Campbell was talking about the upcoming game and how he thinks his team will do. The HC shows confidence in his players and believes that no amount of attention will affect them.

He said, “We’ve had attention for four years here, I mean, there’s been more stuff that’s been made out, that’s been built one way, we’ve been so good, we’ve been so bad, we’re a laughingstock, now we’re great, and it’s just been this rollercoaster of up and downs, and it’s the next week of it, you know what I mean? And so this is nothing new that we’re in right now. This is nothing new for me, for the coaches, for the players. We’re in the middle of the circus, man, and it’s about time to perform. That’s the world we’re in.”
A high-expectation, high-pressure environment can break any player, causing a loss of concentration and bringing out a poor performance. Well, not from Campbell’s players. The Lions HC is confident that his players will deal with everything and anything that is thrown their way and will perform to the best of their ability.

There has been lots of noise around Johnson, Glenn, and their future with the team. All of this might not be good for the team and can lead to a state of disarray in the team. It will be on Campbell to lead from the front and show others how nothing is more important right now than winning their game against the Commanders.
People are expecting nothing less than a Super Bowl victory from the Lions. And while that would be the eventual goal, the important thing right now is to take it one game at a time.
