This Prime Time Thursday’s game didn’t digest well among the fans. The two arguably flawed teams came up against each other to end the matchup with just 3-6 in four 15-minute quarters. Anyway, the captain of the losing team, Caleb Williams was definitely upset about what happened on the field.

The Chicago Bears lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the Week 17 game. As a result, quarterback Caleb Williams was frustrated, but his frustration likely came out for the franchise’s President, Kevin Warren, when asked about his thoughts on fans booing him on Soldier Field.

Hence, taking a subtle dig at Warren in a post-game presser, Caleb Williams said, “Their (Fans) frustrations go way longer back than, you know, I’ve been here. My job is to go out there and win games.” No doubt the Chicago fans have admitted their discontent at Warren earlier.

Be it managing the 2020 COVID-19 season, where Warren initially canceled it but later decided to bring it back in October. Or his habit of arguably sticking his nose where it’s not necessary? The fans are really upset about him being the owner of the franchise. Hence, knowing all this, Caleb Williams took a dig at him by saying the frustration of the fans ‘go way longer back.’

Nevertheless, Williams is processing this season with some sweet and sour learnings. He clearly stated, “Frustrated. Annoyed. But learning. … Excited about this last game and excited about the future.” Despite losing the Week 17 game with such a poor score, Caleb Williams is trying to be optimistic about his future and the last game of the season, against the Packers. Until then, the head coach has taken the blame.

Thomas Brown isn’t happy with Caleb Williams’s offensive linemen

During the press conference after the surprising upset, the Bears’ head coach, Thomas Brown, appeared in front of the media to respond to some tough questions. When asked about his thoughts on the game and his team’s performance, Brown took the blame on himself. But that doesn’t mean he left Caleb Williams’s offensive linemen easily.

While speaking to the media, Brown said, “I thought special teams played well, the defense played their butts off, but the offense wasn’t good enough and that starts with me and my game planning.” Caleb Williams indeed tried to shine at the last moment, saving his offense. But ultimately, his interception failed his plan and the team’s aim.

In short, the game was tight, with the Bears down by three and no points scored in the second half. Finally, in the closing minutes, they started to rally. Caleb Williams came alive, making a few clutch plays to keep the drive alive. For a moment, hope was in the air, but then it all unraveled. The drive stalled.

With just 20 seconds left, Thomas Brown decided to skip a long 57-yard field goal and go for it on fourth-and-10. Consequently, Williams launched a desperate pass, only for it to end in an interception. Indeed, it was a frustrating, heartbreaking end to a night where, honestly, both offenses struggled to find their rhythm.
