Has the rain decided to wash out the game between the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts? Questions have started rising as the clash between the two remains moments away. For Bill Belichick, this game will be a point of no return, hoping for a strong victory for the 2-7 Patriots. Amidst all the eyes set on the crucial game for both sides, attention has been demanded by the weather in Frankfurt.

While both teams will be hoping for a full game without any weather troubles, there will surely be more prayers coming in from the New England side. Bill Belichick will look to back his players on foreign soil amidst the uncertain German weather.

The game kicks off at 9:30 AM ET, but it will be afternoon in Frankfurt, Germany. The Pats also played a game last year in Munich, and are hoping that Germany will be kind to them this year as well. But weather predictions show that the sky will be cloudy with a humidity level of 78%.

Although the precipitation chances are just 2%, Germany’s weather can be treacherous. But the game is going to be held in Frankfurt Stadium which is a marvel of engineering. It has a retractable roof that folds into the scoreboard! So it doesn’t matter if it rains outside, the players, staff, and fans will be dry as a bone.

CBS Sports reported that the Indianapolis Colts have a slightly greater chance of winning. But, as they say, nothing in the NFL is final till the last second is up. The tide can turn at any time. Will the Pats prove predictions wrong? What do both teams have on the line?

What is at stake for both teams?

The Pats and the Colts have faced off 83 times in the past. And it seems that history sure favors the Patriots. The Colts have won less than 50% of the games at 30, while the Patriots have won 53 games. But, this season has been particularly hard for Bill Belichick and Co. as 9 games into the season and they are still at only 2-7. The Pats desperately need this win or they will almost surely lose their playoff chances.

For the Colts, the stakes are slightly lower as they stand 4-5. However, they have a losing record till now and if they manage to win this game, their record will improve to 5-5 or a perfect 0.500 score. The Colts recently won a game against the Carolina Panthers and will be looking to win two back-to-back games. Will they succeed? The answer remains mere moments away.
