After spending a full season as FOX’s No. 1 analyst for the first time in his life, seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has confirmed that he has taken on a new role. In fact, the past season has been full of new roles for Brady—he became a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, as previously mentioned, started announcing NFL games, launched a YouTube channel, and more. Likewise, the 2025 season is shaping up to be no different for Brady. Just a few hours ago, on Monday, the Patriots legend dropped a subtle update about his next responsibility.
Since free agency began, the Raiders organization has been busy making moves. Addressing the situation, Tom Brady clarified his role in a blog post. Reflecting on his past week, Brady said, “This past week, I learned that part of my job each offseason for FOX is going to be keeping track of all the players who changed teams during free agency.” He added, “So far, more than 200 guys, many of them significant contributors, will be suiting up for a different team next season.” He has also shared his analysis and insights from the past week’s free agency activity.
Focusing on the Raiders’ free agency and Brady’s role in it, the organization has been laying the groundwork for a successful 2025-26 season since early March. The first big move was the Geno Smith trade, which was a stunner. But before that, they also brought in Brock Bowers, who has been delivering outstanding performances. The tight end has racked up five touchdowns after receiving 112 passes on 153 targets for 1,194 yards, with an average of 10.7 yards per reception. Just imagine what this tight end could do with Geno Smith in the mix. However, a lot of changes have to be there because the 2025 NFL Draft is approaching.

According to the latest reports from Matt Holder of Yahoo Sports, the Raiders have several needs. “I think the Raiders have so many right now that there could be some overlap in those strategies,” he stated. He added, “For example, the team could use a cornerback, wide receiver, running back, and future left tackle, which Will Johnson, Tetairoa McMillan, Ashton Jeanty, and Will Campbell can fill.” The Raiders hold the 6th overall pick in the upcoming draft.
But Tom Brady isn’t just focused on the roster—he’s also paying attention to the staff. He played a key role in bringing John Spytek and Pete Carroll on board. The expectation is that the Raiders will avoid repeating the struggles of the past two seasons. Meanwhile, despite managing so many business responsibilities, Brady has also made sure to progress in his broadcasting career—and his former teammate, Rob Gronkowski, has shared his thoughts on it.

Rob Gronkowski’s honest review on Tom Brady’s one-year-old career
In his debut year as an NFL analyst for FOX, Tom Brady faced his fair share of criticism—just like most announcers do early in their careers. However, his former teammate Rob Gronkowski isn’t among the critics. Instead, Gronk praised and congratulated Brady on his first year as an NFL analyst and announcer after signing a $375 million, 10-year deal with FOX. This was the first time in his life that Brady experienced the Super Bowl from the announcers’ booth rather than on the field.

“He has definitely improved since his first couple of games, which is understandable,” Gronk said. The former Patriots star tight end added, “I mean, it’s such a tough job to do; there’s so much pressure on you. You’ve never called a game for that long in your life, to be up in that booth and break down plays like that. But you get better as you go on, and that’s all.” It was undoubtedly a challenging year for Brady as a broadcaster. On several occasions, he mispronounced players’ names, including Najee Harris and Josh Allen.
