“After a few days, I’ve had time to reflect on being a champion. I tried to feel how everyone made it seem to be a champion and unfortunately, it was short-lived.. two days to be exact lol.” AJ Brown isn’t experiencing much special feeling after winning Super Bowl LIX. He hinted that his preference lies in the chase and dominating the opposition instead. Strange, isn’t it? If we look at his Sunday performance, Brown played a major role in the Philadelphia Eagles’ triumph as he caught 3 passes for 43 yards and 1 touchdown. But still, he doesn’t think he did much as expected. Nevertheless, the WR did one thing perfectly – keeping his promise.
On January 31, Philadelphia saw a deadly plane crash. This medical jet crashed in Northeast Philly, killing 7 and injuring 24 victims. 10-year-old Andre Howard was also a victim of this incident. So, after winning the Super Bowl, AJ Brown met the little boy with his Vinci Lombardi trophy, keeping his promise to come with the championship.
FOX’s Erin Andrews posted a story on her official Instagram account, drawing attention from the fans. She responded to this AJ Brown’s act by saying two words – “Classy Move AJ Brown!” while tagging the Eagles’s official IG profile. AJ’s all love, isn’t he?

This post, originally shared by the NFL, also featured AJ Brown’s promise to the child. It reads: “Speedy recovery! You are a Hero young man! I’m going to come see you when I get back. Hopefully, with some hardware. Playing for you on Sunday, my man.” Yes, he did visit Andre Howard at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on Wednesday.
AJ Brown didn’t just win to fulfill his promise, he did to pay tribute to the plane crash victims of Philadelphia. Indeed, as Erin Andrews said – It’s a classy move for sure. But you must be wondering about the backdrop of the story. So, here it is….
Andre Howard’s Super Bowl doubt led AJ Brown to make a promise!
At the time of the plane crash on January 31, 2025, Andre Howard tried to save his sister. According to the little boy’s father, while diving to protect his sister during the devastating plane crash, flying metal debris hit the young child. As a result, AJ Brown and Eagles fan, Howard III, was left with severe injuries.
After this, he was rushed to the hospital to have emergency brain surgery. But the worst came next when he slipped into a medically induced coma. So, when Howard woke up, he inquired – did he miss the Super Bowl? Luckily, at that time, he didn’t miss Super Sunday, as he watched the entire game, witnessing AJ Brown and his Eagles win over the Chiefs.
