Super Bowl LIX is upon us. Saints owner Gayle Benson lit up St. Louis Cathedral to welcome the NFL in the town. Even the POTUS Donald Trump is coming to watch the big game. So, the hype and the excitement are at their peak. For the millions of female fans of the game, two of the most coveted reporters and best friends, ESPN’s Erin Andrews and Amazon’s Charissa Thompson, are also in town.

As soon as Thompson entered the stadium to cover the preparations, she was surrounded by other reporters. Everyone was curious about their Super Bowl tradition. So, she revealed, “I stand there and I watch her do her first hit and then we just sort of you know have that very proud moment that we’ve been lucky enough to do this job but get to do it together and with everybody that we work with.” That’s sweet.

Her friend Erin Andrews approved her comments. She also reposted the video in her IG story with a 4-word message, “Love you baby girl.” They have been in the game for almost 2 decades now. Andrews started her career as a freelance reporter in 2000, eventually landing in ESPN in 2004. She started covering football in 2005.

Charissa Thompson started her career in 2007. So, their careers have almost moved in sync with each other. The initial competition soon turned into love and admiration when they realized they could achieve much more together. It became closer in 2021 with a joint podcast named Calm Down. Female fans love them for their originality from the sidelines.

Over the years, Andrews has donned multiple roles, including being a fashion designer. It’s special.

While the love for the game never faded, the options to represent her feelings for the sport got lesser. So, the ESPN reporter asked herself one question, “Where am I going to find clothes that represent the kind of fan I am? ” This led her to a whole new path of designing a fashion wear named WEAR. So, she partnered with Fanatics and launched clothing in 2019.

Fast forward, 6 years later, ahead of the Super Bowl LIX, already historic for the Chiefs’ attempt at a 3-peat, she had to come up with something new. So, Erin Andrews partnered with NY-based Rebecca Minkoff and launched a Super Bowl LIX Tabitha Oversized Moto Jacket priced at $1,000. It’s available on SBLIX NFL Experience.

While she is always excited about her job, there are times when she has to miss vacations or other important moments because of it. But she likes to be a busy person and doesn’t take anything to heart if she gets time with her family. The gridiron is her happy place.
