“You can’t ban greatness,” the legendary message of the Jordan brand flies above everything else. Hence, when the Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts revealed that he got messages from Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter after the crushing 55-23 victory over the Commanders. They were looking at a Super Bowl campaign again. Finally, he did it. They outplayed the Chiefs in every department and won.
However, there were some who thought the Eagles QB was bluffing. Sidelines reporters FOX’s Erin Andrews and Amazon’s Charissa Thompson confirmed this on the February 14 episode of the Calm Down with Erin and Charissa podcast. Fox reporter even clarified, “He had said after the NFC Championship, he got two texts, one from MJ, one from Derek Jeter. And we had heard from Derek Jeter, which was a pretty cool moment for these two gals friend. Derek had just said I told him, look, you’re not done yet, you have one more left, go finish it.”

Getting some motivation from two legends of America’s sports scene is an enormous factor. Michael Jordan is already a Jalen Hurts fan. He is their sneaker brand ambassador in the league. And boy o boy, he even risked a fine by wearing two different-colored sneakers in the week 15 game against the Steelers. But he didn’t fear it.
It was a history in the making. 4 decades ago, the NBA fined MJ for wearing red and black sneakers. But he continued, and the brand paid the fine. Years later, he is the biggest legend of the sport. During practice, before the Super Bowl game began, even the Eagles QB practiced in the special-edition “Banned” Jordan 1 Bred cleats, in red and black. Regarding the fine, the brand said, “We’ll pay the fine.”
However, they now stand happy. The City of Philadelphia just couldn’t get over the win.
Jalen Hurts gives a powerful message in the Super Bowl parade
Erin Andrews also talked about how the Super Bowl winning QB was unfazed by the critics. He was confident in his abilities and the work he put in. On February 14, his words moved the crowd to the ecstasy of emotions. They lost the Super Bowl LVII to the Chiefs. So, the vengeance was also creeping in.
In the Super Bowl parade, Jalen Hurts revealed a personal promise and said, “I told myself when I got drafted that I wouldn’t come to the Rocky steps until I won a championship. Now we’re here.” But he also took a shot at his critics and added, “You can’t lose if you don’t quit. And in Philly, we don’t quit.”

It’s a rollercoaster of feelings. Andy Reid showed Nick Sirianni the exit door when he came to the Chiefs in 2013. And when they first met, the Eagles lost. It gave the haters a chance to question their abilities. What now? They won the game.
