Confessions make things personal yet spicy, don’t they? Think of yourself hearing one from someone you know – quite a thrilling experience. But when a famous personality drops a truth bomb, it kind of spreads like wildfire, especially if it’s none other than America’s gorgeous sportscaster – Erin Andrews. Well, that becomes a story worth talking about.

It’s nothing new, husbands have been dealing with their wives’ meltdowns since the dawn of time – the story of every household. But it sure becomes a total ‘aww moment’ – when we listen to a story of an IT couple handling such matters. And that’s what exactly happened when Erin had one.

On the latest episode of her podcast Calm Down with Erin and Charissa – which she co-hosts with Charissa Thompson. Erin revealed how her husband, former NHL star Jarret Stoll, had to intervene during her Super Bowl panic attack. She said, “My sweet husband came home from golfing. I’m like having a full blown meltdown in the bathroom. He’s like, what’s wrong? I’m like, I just, look like s___…..He’s like, okay what can I do? I got my Spanx on and my Spanx look weird and I’ve got a four-boob situation here….. And my man just wants to know, hey, so when do I tell the Uber to get us?”

She admitted that she just needed a little more time to make sure her outfit was on point. Well, ladies, taking their time to get ready is their birthright – how hard is that to understand? But she also acknowledged that her husband didn’t actually do anything wrong. He played it cool, simply saying, “Hey, no pressure, but the Uber’s here.” Classic. But finally, she ended up sparkling in a custom Patrizia Pepe black sequin blazer dress at the Super Bowl – effortlessly blending sass and sophistication. To add to the glam factor, she chose to pair the dress with glittering earrings.

After the long-awaited victory of the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX, Andrews had the chance to interview Jalen Hurts, the game’s MVP. She asked, “Jalen, it’s been two years since that image—your screensaver—went viral on Instagram. The one of you walking off the field at Super Bowl LVII, red and yellow confetti falling around you. Is it still your screensaver?” Without missing a beat, Hurts responded, “Yeah, hasn’t changed… It’s a reminder.”

Of course, the meltdown moment was all about the getting ready chaos. It wasn’t all drama. Thompson, her co-host, was cracking up while agreeing to everything she was saying. Jokingly saying, “We’ve all been there.” And honestly? We really have. But apart from the glitz and glam, life has thrown some serious curveballs towards Erin. She has battled with serious health issues and some unexpected health scares.

It’s one health scare after the other for Erin Andrews

Erin Andrews is not just a sportscaster – she is the sportscaster, but even she showed how she struggles with everyday battles. Whether it’s sharing the relatable chaos of a Super Bowl meltdown or bravely addressing her health struggles, she keeps it real, and that’s why fans love her. In a podcast episode, Charissa revealed, “For those of you that are new, Erin’s working through some – an issue on her upper lip…But it’s not what you think it is.” Then Charissa warned Erin, “Don’t touch that,” to which Erin replied, “It is so crusty and it really hurts.” Andrews is struggling with a pre-skin cancer situation, but she assured listeners that she will cover the whole situation in the Big Show – the weekly episode of Calm Down.

Apart from her role as one of the best sports broadcasters currently, Erin is also a real-life hero and a fighter off the screen. In 2017, she revealed her battle with cervical cancer, for which she had been diagnosed in 2016. After winning against cancer, she teamed up with Hologic – a women’s health diagnostic company – to launch a campaign. The campaign – We Can Change This STAT – was to raise awareness about annual checkups for women. And how the husbands should encourage their wives to go for the same.

And well, in the podcast, she opened up about the anxiety while going for a full skin check post battling cancer. She said, “I went for the old, oh it’s a great idea. Until you get in the car skin check, the whole shebang…I wanted to pass out in the middle of it cuz I’m like so afraid they’re going to find something.”

Stress or anxiety always show up unannounced – be it a meltdown over getting ready for the Super Bowl or deeper anxiety levels in past health battles. For Erin, the meltdown may have come under the disguise of a running late scenario. But for people who suffer from serious health issues, anxiety can show up at their door anytime. Emotions can run high when life shows you how unpredictable it can be – no second thoughts there!
