Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson know how to command a room. But that’s just a part of it. They also know how to rock on the sidelines, with the mic in one hand and the list of questions in the other. And now, it seems like their plus ones are trying to do the same—on a podcast.
That’s right, Jarret Stoll and Steven Cundari are jumping into the podcast game, and the concept? Hilarious on-brand. “They are our plus ones to events like this because there are plenty of other times in life where we are their plus ones,” Andrews joked on the Calm Down podcast. It’s lighthearted, fun, and, let’s be honest, a sneaky way to remind the world that these two have a front-row seat to some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment.
But here’s where things get interesting—this Plus One Podcast is entering a crowded field, and it’s not just any competition. Even if we forget Andrews and Thompson’s Calm Down for a moment, the list keeps going on. Travis and Jason, the Kelce brothers, have just raised the bar with their New Heights. Then, Kylie’s NGL (yeah, the one that outdid Joe Rogan’s after just the 1st episode).

However, for starters, Jarret and Steven are coming in HOT! At least, as far as the ambitions are concerned. Aiming to get Taylor Swift. Yes, folks, Travis Kelce‘s plus one… Well, good luck with that. Even Thompson admitted their significant others were dreaming big with potential guests. First guest? Diane Long. Yup, Howie Long’s wife.
“And the next guest will be Taylor Swift because she’s Travis Kelce’s plus one… So it’s like, the list that they came up with was unbelievable. But yeah, there’s a great shot,” Charissa quipped. You see, Tay-Tay’s presence in the NFL world has been seismic, and with her name attached to any media project, it becomes the event.

Now, if she aligns herself with a competing podcast—directly or indirectly—it creates an entirely different playing field. So, what happens now? The Plus One Podcast is still just an idea, but the timing of its debut could be everything. I mean, Erin and Charissa are not buying it for one bit. But they are certainly not unsupportive. They just know the reality… A bit too much of it.
Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson are SWIFTIES!
Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson know a thing or two about sports, but when it comes to Taylor Swift? They’re full-fledged fans in the stands. And honestly, who can blame them? The Swift effect is a real thing. Just ask Travis Kelce, whose Chiefs jersey sales shot up 400% the moment she stepped into Arrowhead.
What’s your perspective on:
Can the Plus One Podcast really snag Taylor Swift, or is it just wishful thinking?
Have an interesting take?
So, if Jarret and Steven are planning about having Swift on their Plus One Podcast, they might as well have been wishing on a Hail Mary. You can’t compete with the Swifties. Andrews and Thompson know it firsthand—because they are Swifties themselves.
Erin Andrews made that clear when she rushed to Swift’s defense after the singer got booed at Super Bowl LIX. “I feel bad for the most famous, amazing woman in the world who f**king gets booed at the Super Bowl,” she said on the Calm Down podcast. Thompson, an Eagles fan, took a more diplomatic approach. “They are gonna hate her on that day because you’re rooting for your team.”

Makes sense, right? But even Philly’s own Saquon Barkley wasn’t having it. “She’s there supporting her significant other, and she’s made the game bigger,” he said, reminding everyone that Swift has done more for the NFL’s global reach than a decade of Thursday Night Football.

Even Serena Williams came to Taylor Swift’s aide… Literally, backing her. So, you see, we are not kidding about the influence. But that’s Taylor, for you, a cultural phenom.
So, circling back to the question: will Plus One Podcast actually land a chat with the Pop queen? Our bets are against it. But just the idea of it proves one thing: THE BOYS are ambitious. Andrews and Thompson know it. Guess that’s why they are so excited. Well, so are we.
