The NFL season has wrapped up, and it’s just not a wrap-up for the players and coaching staff. Even the sideline reporters are gonna enter the off-season after the Super Bowl conclusion on Sunday. And when we talk about the sideline start, how can we ignore Charissa Thompson? Just when you were wondering what’s next for Charissa—or maybe even who she’s dating? She went ahead and dropped an absolute bomb.
Thompson made an official declaration in the Feb 11 episode of her Calm Down Podcast with co-host Erin Andrews. Spoiler alert: it involves her embracing motherhood in the future. “You (Erin) Wanted me to have a baby and I’m not gonna have a baby and like I told you last night which I’d like to open it up to this,” she told Andrew. Apparently, she just put the baby rumors to rest—because she’s not planning on having one.

But guess what? Andrews was caught off guard when Charissa just dropped that bomb on her out of nowhere in the middle of a random story. “You really threw that on me in the middle of some random Story,” Erin responded. “You were like, ‘So I decided not to have a baby and I was like…we’re getting kicked out of the restaurant and you’re telling me this.”
But hold on—Thompson later came up with an explanation, and she swears that besides Andrews, everyone who had listened to that podcast knew about her decision. She also shared a hilarious anecdote. “I have made the conscious decision not to have children, but there was a big moment when the fertility clinic sent me the final notification that my eggs, because if you don’t renew your storage every year and it’s you know, it’s a couple 1000 dollars,” Thompson continued.
She further added, “It’s a small price and the big scheme of things for what you’re doing. But for me, I’m like I don’t need to keep paying the storage fee anymore because I don’t need to have the eggs. But then I wrote back, which by the way they haven’t written back. I wrote back on the email, I was like, ‘I’d like to donate my eggs.’ And I don’t think that’s just like something you should write back on the email.” That’s a bold revelation.
So yeah, the sportscaster didn’t just stop at the breaking news. She had a whole story to back it up. And in true Charissa fashion, it wasn’t some serious, dramatic revelation. Nope, she hit Erin with a wild little side note about how she straight-up told the fertility clinic, ‘Hey, just donate my eggs,’ like she was canceling a gym membership.
But let’s be real: Andrews knew what her co-host was getting herself into and decided to advise her.
After all, Erin Andrews is Charissa Thompson’s best friend
Alright, the Fox reporter asked the fertility clinic if she could donate her eggs, that too in an email. And their response? Well, there wasn’t any, as they weren’t supposed to give any response. Because, of course, they probably don’t want Thompson to be sued. The thing is, Charissa has to go through a bunch of paperwork if she wants to donate her eggs. But! She wasn’t actually aware of it.
Enter Erin Andrews to the rescue as she advised her what to do and what not to do. Thompson asked her, “I’m like, does anyone have any information on this because I would like to donate? I don’t have a lot of eggs, but I have eight really good ones. And I’d like to donate that to someone because you know, you and I have talked about at length the struggles that people go through to have babies. And so, I would like my eggs to be out there in the world and be a child one day.” Even reporters lack information on some topics.

To her response, Andrews jumped in to set things straight. She explained the whole legal process behind donating eggs—because, well, it’s not as simple as just sending an email. “You’re going to do a whole legal thing because you’re not going to want to be sued. So, you’re gonna have to do a whole legal thing,” she explained. “I think it’s gonna be a lot. I think there’s gonna be a little bit more paperwork than you just being like, ‘Hey, I’d like to donate my eggs. Thanks bye.'” That was an honest piece of advice.
Finally, Charissa Thompson came to a decision: the procedure to donate eggs isn’t as simple as donating clothes. She couldn’t just drop them off—and she accepted that, all thanks to her co-host, Erin Andrews.
