Texans LB Azeez Al-Shaair will be up on the list of the most brutal hits delivered. Fans still can’t get over Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence laying defenseless on the field during the week 13 matchup. His head hit the ground, and the brawl that ensued showed how intense the moment was. The NFL suspended him for linebacker. But for some, that’s not enough.
During the December 3 episode of Fox Sports Radio, the host Ron Parker doubled down on the suspension and said, “He got off light, to me. If they said six games, eight games, I’d be all right with it, I really would.” A demand with which the NFL VP Jon Runyan would agree with. He was also angry with the linebacker for his tackle on the quarterback.

While Runyan called it a ‘serious violation of the playing rules‘, Parker explained the need for more strict punishment for Azeez Al-Shaair. With the claim that the league has to set an example, he added, “I think they could have been stronger on it. I think that three games you know will pacify some, but when you want to let people know that this won’t be tolerated, no way no how, that’s when you throw the hammer down at somebody.” That’s interesting. But not everybody agreed.

The FOX analysts also watched the Texans GM Nick Caserio, who claimed that there was no transparency in the decision. Other players had committed similar offenses but faced a lesser punishment. However, the NFL stood by their decision. They upheld the 3-game suspension even during the appeal hearing.
Though the linebacker apologized for the tackle, he will miss the next 3 games and will be back in the last game of the regular season. However, he is also angry with the decision.
Azeez Al-Shaair surprises everyone with his IG post
The Texans LB got pissed after his appeal was rejected. His Instagram post had his photo, his cleat that had the word ‘FREE’, the Batman villain Joker, and a quote about his belief in Allah upon being rejected. But the caption got everybody’s attention that read, “IF YOU WANT ME TO BE YOUR VILLAIN, ILL BE YOUR VILLAIN! SEE YOU SOON…”

It was clear soon after the tackle that no one liked it. Even when the officials ejected him and he walked out, fans threw things at him. Azeez Al-Shaair would be feeling disappointed. But no one expected he would vent his feelings in such a manner.

For now, the Texans want to secure their playoff seat. They are sitting on the top of the AFC South division with an 8-5 win-loss record. But they need to be very careful with their approach on the field. Most fans don’t support them anymore.
