FOX has been going full throttle ever since, in 2021, it and other network giants signed an 11-year media rights deal with the NFL. A year after the landmark agreement, which sees FOX pay more than $2 billion each year, they got Tom Brady on board. The NFL icon has joined play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt in the booth this season. And now, in order to spice up things, they have made another unique addition to their setup backstage.

Amazon is also one of the biggest media partners for the NFL in the deal that began in 2023. The video streaming giant is paying the league $1 billion a year and is the exclusive partner for its Thursday Night Football package. Apart from this serious business, the Amazon NFL broadcasting crew also has a karaoke machine which they often indulge in for entertainment and it looks like the crew at FOX has followed suit.

During the Friday episode of the ‘Calm Down’ podcast, hosts Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson discussed the coverage of the Giants vs the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day among other topics.  After joking about Julian Edelman’s “disgusting phrase,” where he called this football’s last phase – “cream season,” the hosts talked about a new tradition of the FOX sports channel.

Erin Andrews said the NFL crew at FOX is getting a karaoke machine. Revealing this, the FOX reporter said, “We took a cue from Thursday night football, and we got a karaoke machine,” leading to a shoutout from Thompson who said, “Yeah, My girl.”

The conversation soon turned interesting when Andrews touted her karaoke skills. Referencing Amazon’s TNF analyst Tony Gonazlez’s singing prowess, Andrews said, “I’m no Tony Gonzalez but I got to say I’m pretty good,” drawing a sharp, “excuse me,” from Thompson.

With a sly smile, she questioned, “Has anyone else told you that?” before adding, “First of all I love you and as a friend, I believe you can do anything okay. But this is not something that I knew about you if it is in fact true. Where’s Jarret (Erin’s husband)? I need Jarret to confirm or deny the idea that Erin thinks she has a great voice.”

The conversation then turned playful as Erin Andrews and her co-host joked about how much fun karaoke can be, even singing lines from famous songs like “I give it all to you…” and “With arms wide open.” It was a lighthearted moment for both star reporters, who showed their excitement about adding a fun and engaging element to their NFL duties.

Notably, last year, Erin Andrews revealed her favorite song at a karaoke bar that she usually likes to sing. “My go-to karaoke song is anything from Taylor Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version), especially ‘Style’ or ‘Blank Space,'” Andrews told Us Weekly. Meanwhile, the FOX reporter didn’t take too kindly to Charissa Thompson doubting her singing skills.

Sharing an Instagram story featuring the clip from the podcast with her co-host, she called on her NFL crew members to help her out. She captioned the video, “Need some reinforcements from my @nflonfox crew plz,” while tagging Kevin Burkhardt, Mike Pereira, and others. Well, we might get to know more about Andrews’ karaoke skills in the coming weeks, but for now, her focus is on the Week 14 of the NFL.
