In 2023, just like all the other Jets fans, even the hip-hop artist Method Man was elated. The NY Jets had collaborated for the hype video. His heart broke when Aaron Rodgers got injured and was ruled out of the season. Well, in 2024, the long-time Jets season ticket holder was pumped up again when Davante Adams came in. Now, Method Man expressed his take on the future of the Jets stars.
Talking to Emmy and NABJ award-winning journalist Josina Anderson on the December 19 episode of The Exhibit show, Method Man praised the WR. While calling him a true teammate, he said, “I have a feeling if he (Rodgers) leaves, Davante is going to go with him and I would love to keep Davante. Dude is a teammate, in my opinion. Like whatever team he plays, he’s going all out and he’s in all out and all in, so I love the guy.” That’s right.

The QB and the WR played together in the Packers from 2014 to 2021. Adams was in the Raiders before the Jets acquired him on October 15, 2024. In 2025 and 2026, he is slated to earn $35.64 million each year. But the question is if the Jets will pay him this much. The chances are very low.
However, Method Man, the fan with a $14 million net worth, has made a very accurate prediction. Adams could have gone to any other franchise. But the only reason he came to the Jets was Aaron Rodgers. Now that the QB’s future seems uncertain, even the receiver might be thinking about his future. There was also good news for the popular fan as the Jets might induct him into the Jets Fans Hall of Fame in 2025. But for the team, they need to learn the lessons.
The 2024 season was bad as the team had a 4-11 win-loss record after week 16. But A-rod got into problems over his comments too. Even the Jets owner, Woody Johnson, was also not happy.

Aaron Rodgers ready to take pay cut to stay at Jets
During the December 23 episode of the Pat McAfee Show, the NY Jets QB appeared joyful. He accepted the fact that his and Adams’s contracts could be renegotiated and said, “I think I’ve already proven I’m willing to take a pay cut (to stay at Jets).” But Aaron Rodgers also joked about being released and added, “Being released would be a first; being released by a teenager, that would also be a first.”

Now that was a shot at the owner, Woody Johnson. The leaked report by the Athletic claimed the owner often consulted his sons, Brick and Jack, to make management decisions. It was a bombshell. There were other claims that Jonson often checks any player’s rating in the video Madden NFL before going for a trade.
