Despite his outstanding performance, he is not pleased about being selected as an MVP finalist for the 2023 season. However, the San Francisco 49ers star finds joy in another part of his life: his fiancée, Olivia Culpo. The NFL couple, who is preparing for their wedding, often catches the public’s attention for their strong bond. This adorable couple is in the spotlight once again for rescuing a turtle during their morning walk, and this adorable act has captured the hearts of many.

The MLF confirmed the rescue on its X handle, sharing a short video clip of the heartwarming moment. The post’s caption read, “WHOLESOME: #49ers star Christian McCaffrey and his fiancée Olivia Culpo rescued a turtle yesterday & are now adopting him,” accompanied by several pleading face emojis.

McCaffrey and his future mate and model, who exchanged their rings in April 2023, were seen overwhelmed.  In the video, the duo seemed thrilled by the moment, as they rescued the turtle. The latest candid video also featured the couple’s cute discussion about adopting the turtle which was found on the side of the road.

From off-frame, Culpo exclaimed, “It’s… a turtle. Look at that turtle. What are we going to name him, Christian?” McCaffrey, promptly responding, said, “Charles,” making “Charles the Turtle” official”. Culpo, protecting McCaffrey from the turtle, humorously remarked, “Oh my big head. Be careful. Be careful. Be careful of him or me. Him.”

The conversation continued with McCaffrey holding the turtle, jokingly saying, “He could sniff my arm off. A turtle. A sniffing turtle.” Culpo was in awe, humorously saying, “Look at that guy. Oh my god. Oh, man.”

McCaffrey was then seen talking to the turtle, saying, “What’s up, buddy?” To which Culpo responded, “Are you kidding?” As they moved to find a new home for their new pet, McCaffrey said, “Let’s go find a home. What do we do with our new pet?” Culpo kept repeating the turtle’s new name, “Charles. Charles. Turtle. Charles the turtle.”

Culpo also shared the story on her Instagram, captioning, “I was taking Oliver for a walk, and he comes across this little stump and he won’t stop sniffing.” She further asked her followers for their opinions on the rescue, “What do you guys think it is?”

McCaffrey and Culpo’s recent act of kindness has once again shown their love for animals, endearing them even more to their fans. This isn’t the first time the couple’s love for animals has been evident. On July 12, 2020, they also welcomed a dog into their home.

Culpo and McCaffrey have strengthened their bond as Pet Parents

Culpo and McCaffrey welcomed a new member to their home, sharing the news of their adorable new dog, Oliver Sprinkles, on IG handle. Culpo even created a dedicated IG account for Oliver. They often share the snaps with Oliver Sprinkles, showing their love for pets.

The couple made their relationship Instagram official in November 2019. Since then, they have continued to support each other both personally and professionally, evidently when McCaffrey was traded to the 49ers in 2022. Culpo expressed her pride and excitement on Instagram, writing, “I’m so proud of you Christian! Seeing your light shine is one of my favorite things in life and I’m beyond excited and grateful for this next chapter in Cali. Niners Nation, let’s go!”

After getting engaged in April 2023, the couple has been busy preparing for their wedding. Before the big day, Culpo was seen cheering for McCaffrey and the 49ers during their game against the Kansas City Chiefs at the 2024 Super Bowl. Even though they lost to the Chiefs, the couple were still seen in great spirits.
