Remembering the Alma mater! In the NFL season, Lamar Jackson is making his mark with the Baltimore Ravens. However, meanwhile, he took some time out to show support for his “Forever” football team. This offseason when he was given the highest QB contract, everyone knew Lamar Jackson deserved this.

But again, with the heavy amount came some massive responsibilities. And Jackson is fulfilling all the expectations perfectly. Most recently, he is about to create a milestone for himself. As the NFL’s one of the best players, Jackson is not forgetting his roots, as he delivers a four-letter hype for his college football team.

Lamar Jackson is on the Cardinals’ side!

The Ravens QB Lamar Jackson shared a story on his Instagram just an hour ago. In the story, he wrote “L1C4,” with a black backdrop. With this post, he updated his fans that Jackson is supporting his former college football team, Louisville Cardinals. The Cardinals are set to have a matchup against the Kentucky Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium.

With the word “L1C4,” Jackson referred to “Louisville First, Cards Forever!” It is a slogan for the University of Louisville that started in 2012. This slogan means that once you become a Cardinal, you will remain a Cardinal for eternity. Therefore, showing his love and loyalty for his Alma mater, for whom Jackson played 38 games in total, showed his support for the Cardinals before their Wildcats matchup.

Apart from that, Jackson, when playing for the Cardinals, had made some memorable moments for himself, his team, and college football history.

Lamar Jackson joined the Louisville Cardinals with jersey number 8 in 2016. He played there for 38 games in total, finishing his sophomore career throwing the ball for 9,043 passing yards, 69 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions in total. During this phase, Jackson was also honored with the 2016 Heisman Memorial Trophy, making him the youngest player ever to win the Trophy.

Not only this, Jackson’s impact on the Alma Mater was so big that the University decided to name a road “Lamar Jackson Way” that leads to the stadium of the university, where the students play. This month itself, Jackson was honored by his college team. The athlete received his retired number 8 jersey, and “Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer proclaimed November 13 as “Lamar Jackson Day” in the city.”

Moreover, the 26-year-old QB is on track to break more records this season. He is incredibly close to reaching 5000 rushing yards, just 28 yards shy of joining Michael Vick, Cam Newton, and Russell Wilson as the only quarterbacks to achieve this milestone. Now, that is going to be a ‘Lamarvellous’ achievement!
