Last pass on Monday seems to have been etched in there for Ohio State forever. And why should it be so? After all, the moment was something which the fans, even Houston Texans’s quarterback, CJ Stroud, saw after a decade!

The Ohio State product, CJ Stroud, who passed for 8,123 yards, 85 touchdowns and 12 interceptions with the Buckeyes before entering the NFL in 2023, was rooting for his alma mater on Monday. The 23-year-old shared a couple of stories on his official Instagram account – in which one of them featured four Buckeyes players stepping up on the field. And guess what? One of these players, to the extreme right, was none other than Stroud himself.

Sharing his previous photo with his teammates, CJ Stroud wrote one word-message, “BUCKEYES” in the caption on Monday. It was clear that with this story, he was supporting his alma mater in the college football national playoff championship against Notre Dame. And it seemed the luck was totally on his and former college’s side, as the Buckeyes defeated their rival, 34-23, to win their sixth title at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

This victory also helped the team to achieve this feat in 10 years. Hence, it’s an incredible moment for Ohio State, and its alumni. That’s the reason why Texans’s quarterback, CJ Stroud is happy and proud to see his college winning the title. Meanwhile, he also made sure to give the winners a tribute by sharing a picture of the players lifting up the trophy on his another story on IG.

Houston native, CJ Stroud, shared the Ohio State FB post, which had a caption – “The city of Champions: Columbus, OH.” Indeed, it’s a proud moment for Ohio fans, and the NFL quarterback, especially when Stroud himself lost an important matchup. Never mind, he will now be rooting for his childhood friend in the NFL playoffs.

CJ Stroud’s journey wrapped up with an unfortunate loss in the divisional round against the Kansas City Chiefs. They weren’t able to score more than 14 points against reigning Super Bowl champion’s 23 points. Nevertheless, now that he is out of the Super Bowl run, Stroud is rooting for his friend, rookie Jayden Daniels this year.

On Monday, while speaking to the media, Stroud clearly addressed Daniels’s prowess on the field. He even added, “I don’t root for many other teams, but I’m rooting for my boy. I’m rooting for the Commanders.” Stroud and Daniels have been friends since long, as the two grew up relatively near each other in Southern California.

Hence, now that Daniels has made some astonishing records in his rookie season in the league, Stroud is nothing but proud of him. So, as the Texans’s QB rooted for the Buckeyes and they won the championship, will the same rooting luck of Stroud will bring fruitful results for the Commanders? What do you think?
