Will Taylor Swift's presence at Arrowhead be the Chiefs' secret weapon against the Saints?

“How about we go get a win on Monday night? How about that? You guys up for that?” Travis Kelce‘s rallying cry at his birthday bash on October 5, 2024, sent the Chiefs Kingdom into a frenzy. But as the crowd cheered, one question hung in the air like a perfectly thrown spiral – where was Taylor Swift?

Swift’s absence from Kelce’s birthday bash and the Chiefs’ last two away games has set the rumor mill spinning faster than a rookie running back. But hold onto your foam fingers, folks! This isn’t a case of “Bad Blood” between the lovebirds. According to Page Six’s October 1 report, it’s all about keeping our pop princess out of harm’s way.

“If she is going to a place that isn’t Arrowhead, there are security concerns,” an insider spilled to Page Six. “She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance.” Swift’s safety worries aren’t unfounded – remember when she had to pull the plug on shows in Vienna due to a potential ISIS threat? That’s enough to make anyone think twice about venturing into unfamiliar territory.

But don’t cry into your Chiefs-branded hankies just yet. Billboard.com reported on October 5 that Kelce himself dropped a bombshell at his Car Jam event: “She will not be here. I know she’s coming in for the game.” That’s right, Swift is expected to make her triumphant return to Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs’ face-off against the New Orleans Saints on Monday, October 7.

Meanwhile, the Kelce Car Jam, benefiting Travis’ Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation, was a family affair despite Swift’s absence. People.com reported that Kelce was joined by his parents, Donna and Ed, brother Jason, and sister-in-law Kylie. Even Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his pregnant wife Brittany showed up to admire the vintage rides and wish the birthday boy well. When asked about his birthday wish, Kelce didn’t miss a beat: “Another Super Bowl, if you’ve got one!”

As Chiefs Kingdom gears up for Monday night’s showdown, the anticipation of Swift’s return is electric. But here’s a curveball for you – Travis Kelce’s not losing sleep over whether his girl makes it to every game.

In a resurfaced clip from 2016 that’s making waves on X, Kelce shared his laid-back philosophy on the WAG life: “If you’re dating a professional athlete, I do not believe, at least for me, that you need to go to all the games. I mean, there’s eight home games, eight away games, plus playoffs. I don’t even expect my parents and my friends to make every single game.”

This chill attitude might explain why the power couple seems unfazed by the recent absences. As People.com reported, Swift’s been busy prepping for her final Eras Tour shows, while Kelce’s been laser-focused on improving his game performance.

But when these two do come together, it’s magic. Remember Swift’s shoutout to Kelce at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards? “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic,” she gushed, proving that distance does make the heart grow fonder.

As the clock ticks down to Monday’s game, Kelce’s birthday wish for “another Super Bowl” hangs in the air. With Swift potentially cheering from the stands, who knows? Maybe her lucky number 13 will work its charm on the Chiefs’ quest for gridiron glory.
