Justin Jefferson spent a significant amount of time in the Las Vegas Raiders match at the hospital with a chest injury. While Jefferson just returned in time to celebrate his first win post-injury with his teammates, his contributions were not what he’d liked them to be. But it looks like he is looking to change that at the Cincinnati Bengals‘ game next week, and thankfully, his body is allowing him to take that step. His old teammate, Ja’Marr Chase, is concerned for a different reason altogether.
Ja’Marr Chase recently made a shocking claim about his fellow WR, and the reason turned out to be more epic than the claim. But as they meet each other next week, Chase, just like Jefferson, will have plenty of chances to change that.

Justin Jefferson eager to face Ja’Marr Chase
Following his short-lived comeback against the Raiders, Justin Jefferson had to go out with a chest injury after just 13 plays. But he was soon free from the scares and even came back to witness his team clinching the narrowest-margin victory this season. Jefferson is also expecting a full-fledged comeback in his next game, against the Bengals.

“I feel pretty good,” the WR informed the reporters on Wednesday. “Just with the hit and the things that were going on after the hit, we kind of had to go into precaution and we had to evaluate what was going on with my body,” he insisted that they needed to make sure he was okay, which he was. But at the time, things could get scary so the team took no chance.
“But with the situation and the circumstances that happened, I had to be taken out of the game“, said Justin Jefferson.
The coveted comeback game against the Bengals turns out to be a match-up between two former teammates: Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase. The latter, however, wanted to get a hold of Jefferson for a completely different reason a few days ago. And nobody was expecting it.

Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase meet each other but for different reasons
There was a time when the WR duo dominated the NCAA for Louisiana State University. But times have changed, and they stand as rivals, despite maintaining their old friendship. Both also maintain their status as two of the league’s best WRs. Following the quarterbacks, both Jefferson and Chase are arguably two of their respective teams’ greatest assets.
That’s why the Bengals QB joked on Rich Eisen’s show that he called Jefferson to discuss the numbers regarding the big paydays coming their way. But he revealed that the Minnesota Vikings WR did not pick up his call. Ja’Marr Chase humorously also asked his counterpart to give him a call as soon as he spotted the interview.

But as things stand, time seems to be in Chase’s way. With Jefferson’s desire to play the next game, the duo will have plenty of time to discuss their future contract extensions. And probably some in-field numbers as well. But as former teammates, we’ll leave it up to them.
