During an interview with the media, Dan Campbell delved into the role of tight ends in the current football landscape. He emphasized their rarity and value, stating, “When you have a guy that can do multiple jobs and do them well, those guys are hard to find.” Focusing on George Kittle’s upcoming opposition, Campbell lauded his comprehensive skill set while revealing reasons he’s a formidable opponent.

I got a lot of respect for the way he plays game man. He’s high energy, he does it all. He’s an aggressive blocker, strong, physical, good in pass protection,” he said. While also acknowledging the presence of premier tight ends like Kittle and Travis Kelce in the teams, Campbell suggested a correlation between their skills and team success. Additionally, he conveyed confidence in his own tight end.

He asserted, “I like our guy too, you know, and our guy can do quite a bit of things as well and we’re look they’re going to need him to play.” But it is not just Kittle who is getting praised, Dan Campbell got an award recently as well.

Dan Campbell has been awarded the 2023 NFC Coach of the Year by the “101 Award.” It is determined by a group of 101 football media experts. This recognition follows a historic season for the Lions.
