Jerry Rice is beaten once again today! 49ers’ RB Christian McCaffrey just surpassed the legend’s franchise record. Rice made the record of having the most TDs (23) in a season with the franchise in 1987. With 24 TDs to his name this season, including the postseason, CMC is now the only 49ers player to have reached that number. This just came in after Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce took over Rice’s record in postseason catches.

While the 49ers are having a struggling game, the running back pulled through by landing a TD for his team. Now the 27-year-old will be hoping to play his best and give himself another reason to celebrate by winning the game vs the Lions.

Despite breaking the historical franchise record, whether CMC will be able to help his team land a win is questionable.
