Are the Jets doomed to repeat history, or can Aaron Rodgers turn this season around?

The City that never sleeps was awake and watching one of its teams getting thrashed. Yes, we’re talking about the New York Jets here. That might have been a usual sight for Gang Green. Robert Saleh was fired after the poor show till week 5. Week 6 was a fight. But guess what! They surrendered. It was their game to win. Aaron Rodgers‘ team gave it away, and the Bills pounced to grab the win.

Now, former defensive end Chris Canty had some very interesting views about the game on ESPN’s unsportsmanlike show. Michelle Smallmon initiated the discussion by crossing over from football to baseball. She pointed out that the Mets and Yankees handled their business, but the Jets fell short. It was based on the fact that $10.55 billion franchises (the New York Yankees and New York Mets) both won their games in MLB, but here in the NFL, the Jets lost.

Canty came up with a witty reply and replied, “Well, I mean there’s a New York Football team that handled their business last night. Not the New York City, New York state football team. There you go.” Now that’s a mean dig. And what else did Aaron Rodgers and the company expect? After 6 games, they have a 2-4 win-loss record.

Yesterday, they were about to break one record. Not a better one, though. In the game, the Jets had 11 penalties for 110 yards. It’s 2 less than the most penalties they have conceded in a game. Rodgers tried to change the scores in the 4th quarter. However, after that interception by Taron Johnson, they were struggling. Though Bills also had 11 penalties in 94 yards, it doesn’t matter. They won the game.

After falling short to take care of things when it mattered, the veteran and team are ruing over the result.

Jets’ QB Aaron Rodgers admits they gave away the game to the Bills

What’s your perspective on:

Are the Jets doomed to repeat history, or can Aaron Rodgers turn this season around?

Have an interesting take?

It was the first game under coach Jeff Ulbrich. Now, he knows which things to sort out first. These many penalties in one game aren’t acceptable. Moreover, at the end of the 3rd quarter, both teams were 20-20, but Bills sealed the game 23-20 in their favor. Fans are asking questions from the veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

His answers during the press conference were direct. A-Rod knows such games have to be won and said, “We need to get going, This was a golden opportunity. Some games you win in the NFL, and some games you give away. This was a giveaway.” Well, revival is the need of the hour. After 6 games, Rodgers has a losing record. This is the first time it has happened in his career. The Jets offense needs to score touchdowns to win.

Wide receiver Garrett Wilson also echoed the same sentiment. He was equally frustrated after losing such a close game. “We have to find a way to score touchdowns because I don’t want to keep feeling like this. It’s frustrating. I’m here to win those games.” The WR said after the game.

The Jets are in deep waters. Ulbrich has to sit in his locker room and decide on the game plan for the next games. Otherwise, the season might not turn the way they planned it.
