Did Noah Lyles cross the line with his comments on Tyreek Hill, or is he just being honest?

In a jaw-dropping social media moment, former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown threw shade at Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles after he trolled the Dolphins’ speedster Tyreek Hill. It all started when Lyles, a track sensation with a blistering 19.31-second 200m personal best, couldn’t recall Hill’s name and joked about it.

Sportswriter Dov Kleiman dropped a tweet where Lyles was totally blanked on Hill’s name, saying, “Uh what’s the guy… that Cheetah guy from football? Well, I can’t remember his name.” Antonio Brown, never one to shy away from controversy, re-tweeted the post, calling Lyles the “fagg*t of the day.” The tweet just cranked up the heat, setting off a blaze that’s got fans and media buzzing.

Noah Lyles is taking the spotlight on and off-track. After snagging gold in the 100m at the Paris Olympics, the 27-year-old had a dramatic twist in the 200m final—collapsing and getting wheeled off after finishing third. The drama didn’t stop there; he later dropped a bombshell with positive COVID-19 reports, only to test negative shortly after.

On the Up and Adams Show, the Virginia-born star took a swipe at American sports titles, questioning their “world champion” status. He dismissed the NBA’s global claim, throwing shade at their championship credibility. “You know the thing that hurts me the most is that I have to watch the NBA Finals, and they have ‘world champion’ on their head. World champion of what? The United States? Don’t get me wrong, I love the U.S., at times, but that ain’t the world.”

Considered the fastest NFL player, Hill’s best record’s clocked at a blazing 9.98 in the 100m, compared to Lyles’ 9.79 that won him gold in Paris. Guess the Olympic and world champ’s got some beef with the NFL’s speedster. While Brown’s comments definitely stirred the pot, they’re only adding fuel to the age-old debate: who’s really the fastest—track stars or football players? Well, Hill says he can beat Lyles in a heartbeat.

Hill told host Kay Adams on the Up and Adams Show, “Noah Lyles can’t say nothing after what just happened to him. For him to do that and say that we’re not world champions… just speak on what you know about, and that’s track.” Adams pressed the Dolphins’ WR on whether he’d outpace Lyles and win by a lot, to which Hill wisely responded: “I will beat Noah Lyles, I will beat him… not by a lot, but I will beat Lyles. And guess what? When I beat him, I’m going to put on a COVID mask.”

Hill’s dropping fire with his bold challenge, setting up a showdown with Lyles that’s bound to be electric. The Cheetah’s gearing up to race and has a cheeky move planned if he takes the win. This rivalry’s about to get wild!
