One disappointment for Tyreek Hill and his team, the Dolphins, came from when they were eliminated in the playoffs after losing to Kansas City 26-7 in one of the coldest NFL games ever played. Furthermore, for Hill, the New Year began with a loss of $2.3 million of his personal property. Tyreek Hill’s $6.9 million mansion in Southwest Ranches caught fire in the early month, and a total of $2.3 million in property damages were recorded.

Davie Fire Rescue Department officials later informed that the reason behind this fire was caused by a child playing with a lighter in the neighborhood. When asked about the matter on HBO’s Hard Knocks series, Hill responded with, “It’s done. The house done, bro. Smoke damage, fire damage. The whole upstairs is burnt down. It’s alright, though.” As per reports, fortunately, no injuries or physical harm was caused to his family due to his unfortunate incident.
