Super Commercials are in a league of their own. Witty, humorous, and of course, star-studded. This year, these ads come with a heavy price: a whopping $8 mil each. At least 10 commercials are going to air during the game. And as per a report by Fox, they were already out of ad spots way back in November 2024. And there’s a reason we love these ads. David Beckham in his Stella Artois ad, finding out he has a twin brother, Peyton Manning in a Bud Light cul-de-sac party, Andy Reid’s mustache flying away in a Pringles ad, Chiefs players Mahomes, Jones, Worthy and Humphrey with their mascot KC Wolf trying to think of a Doritos ad. We’ve seen them making rounds, and they’ve got to tickle some ribs.

And now, yet another giant has resurfaced with an unforgettable range of ads – Gatorade. But let’s face it, can we call it an ad when it features Kendrick Lamar and his song “Peekaboo”? Why not call it an experience and leave it at that? The ad titled, “Lose More. Win More.” features major stars including Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Luka Dončić, Jayson Tatum, A’ja Wilson, Shedeur Sanders, Caitlin Clark, and several others. The new ads are part of a 2025 marketing campaign by PepsiCo., and are going to premiere during the NBA playoffs. And stars are campaigning for it on their own socials too. But for Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, things didn’t exactly go as he’d planned.

Lamar Jackson shared a two-picture post on Instagram featuring Gatorade’s campaign. The first picture features a black-and-white photo of Jackson with the words, “How much sweat are you willing to lose…” followed by the Gatorade logo. Then the second picture brings the colors back and has just two words, “TO WIN.” Simple, powerful, effective. The post is captioned, “The more you sweat, the more you win @gatorade”.

But here’s the thing, the QB made a teeny tiny mistake. When he posted the images, he got the order backwards. Mistake, obviously. But the fans were too quick for him and they noticed before he deleted the post and shared a new one with the correct sequence.

Lamar Jackson first made his debut with Gatorade back in the 2024 season, with their iconic campaign “You Know We Got ‘IT’.” In a following press release, he’d said, “This campaign is all about the idea that ‘IT’ is an internal mindset that drives you to be your best, which rings true for me – I’m hyped for athletes everywhere to think about how their ‘IT’ can help them lock in and be great.” It’s been a year since then, and maybe Lamar has made great strides since then. He certainly has the “IT” factor, but with the little slip in the new campaign in his post, the fans aren’t letting him off easy.

Fans all over on Jackson’s mistake

To put it mildly, the fans had a field day with the post. Everybody makes mistakes right? But when their fav QB slipped up on the order of the posts, the fans flooded the comments. There was laughter, love, and a tear or two. One Fan wrote, Not slick buddy we saw u mess up 🤣”, while another went, Who saw it the other way first😭”. One person was heartbroken, “we saw that last one bro💔” and another was sympathetic, “Bro had it backwards the first time it’s okay LaGoat we all make mistakes”. The worst one? “We saw the first one unc 😭 our goat getting old” Internet being internet right?

What’s your perspective on:

Did Lamar Jackson's Instagram slip make you chuckle, or was it just a harmless mistake?

Have an interesting take?

But it’s not all bad. There was support too, one said, Its ok king, you are forgiven 🙏🏾”, while another went Saw that… but yea this fire🔥”. Pros and Cons, right? One person addressed the elephant in the comment box, Y’all happy now, he fixed it 😂”, while another kept it simple and straight, quick fix never hurt anybody”. The best one?Don’t get on our Goat post questioning him. He did that to keep yall on your toes 🥸😂”

Trevor Lawrence and Josh Allen have also made similar posts for this campaign. The message in the photo remains the same. Lawrence’s post features his photo (duh) with the caption, “The formula to winning is sweat loss. @gatorade” while Allen’s post features his photo with the caption, “Sweat first. Win later.” Fortunately, they didn’t make the same slip as Jackson.
