Jordan Mailata has six reasons to celebrate Brock Purdy and his strengths. In an exclusive chat with EssentiallySports, Bankstown native Mailata shared his views on the Super Bowl LVIII rivals, Brock Purdy and Patrick Mahomes while promoting the National Rugby League (NRL).

The Australian NRL Telstra Premiership will kick off on March 2, 2024, from the same Stadium, which is hosting the Super Bowl this time. The Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will witness a thrilling showdown of rugby events for the first time on American soil. Mailata is also a part of this 2024 season-opening doubleheader, which will see players battling without the protection of helmets, pads, and timeouts.

The conversation then drifted towards the world’s most-watched single-sport event. The Super Bowl LVIII is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas today. This will be a rematch of the Super Bowl LIV played in 2020, where the Kansas City Chiefs won over the San Francisco 49ers with 11 points. Ahead of the game, Mailata exclusively spoke with us, sharing his thoughts on what he feels about Prudy, who has been breaking barriers this season.

Besides praising Patrick Mahomes & his army, Mailata also highlighted Brock Purdy’s six impressive qualities. He said, “Brock Purdy has a lot of football IQ. He spends time, he watches films, he knows what he’s doing out there. I mean, he’s the QB of the 49ers. He’s got to make the right course and he’s doing a great job…..He’s got a lot of weapons. But if you don’t know how to use those weapons, they have a great scheme.” Mailata emphasized on 49ers’ weapons which are said to be Christian McCaffrey, Nick Bosa, George Kittle, and others.

Undoubtedly, Purdy has emerged as one of the strongest quarterbacks this season, leading his team to win the NFC championship, something which the team won four years ago.
