In an exclusive interview with Essentially Sports, Philadelphia Eagles star offensive tackle Jordan Mailata made a bold prediction for the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII while promoting the National Rugby League (NRL), set to kick off on American soil for the first time in Las Vegas. Just like how it’s going to be the Super Bowl’s first time in Sin City!

The Australian-Samoan athlete honed his skills with the South Sydney Rabbitohs before transitioning to the NFL, where he now stands as a cornerstone of the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line.

Now, Jordan Mailata takes on a dual role as both an NFL star and a global ambassador for the NRL. His roots in the Australian Football League allow him to bridge the gap between two sporting worlds, showcasing the athleticism and talent that define both rugby league and American football.

During his interview, Mailata made a bold Super Bowl prediction based on his firsthand experience battling against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. “I just think it’s going to be a fistfight. It’s going to be whoever can last the longest being the most gritty, the most fundamental, who secures the ball, who protects the ball,” Jordan Mailata emphasized. However, the Eagles’ offensive tackle explained what could give the Chiefs the upper hand.

“I think the Chiefs, they just have too much experience in the Super Bowl, man. You know, they’ve been four to five times in the last five years, something like that, some stupid a** stat like that. And I think experience is gonna pay off here. Chiefs in 3,” Mailata predicted. He also pointed to a crucial clash that could decide the outcome of the game.

As anticipation builds for Super Bowl LVIII, all eyes are on the strategic battle between Steve Spagnuolo’s roaring defense and Kyle Shanahan’s offensive juggernaut that just can’t stop humming.

Spagnuolo, in his fourth Super Bowl appearance in five seasons as the Chiefs’ defensive coordinator, has orchestrated a remarkable transformation of Kansas City’s defense, turning it into a formidable force. With a youthful defense that has defied expectations, Spagnuolo has propelled the Chiefs to new heights, making them one of the top units in the league.

Meanwhile, Shanahan’s offensive mastery has powered the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl, boasting an explosive offense that ranks among the best, if not the best, in the league. With a versatile and dynamic approach to play calling, Shanahan has crafted a lethal offensive scheme that poses a significant challenge to opposing defenses with misdirection, aggressive blocking, and an in-tune run game that can be lethal for Spagnuolo’s defense.
