One final chance. One last game. And the Miami Dolphins couldn’t pull it off against the New York Jets. Just like that, Miami’s season was over with no playoffs, and no second chances. The frustration was real. That’s when Tyreek Hill let it all out. “This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs. I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family…..I’m opening the door. I’m out, bro.” Wait, what? The same man who once said he and his family loved Miami and had faith in quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was now ready to bounce? Yeah, that escalated real quick. Not long after, Hill walked it back.

Tyreek Hill told the media, “What y’all had heard at the end of the season was frustration.” He showed that he wanted to be in Miami; all he wanted was what he deserved. Hmm….Back when Hill left the Kansas City Chiefs, it was clear he picked the paycheck over staying with Patrick Mahomes and chasing rings. And now? Rumors are rife that the Dolphins might be looking to trade him.

On Nightcap, Shannon Sharpe and Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson didn’t hold back on Hill’s situation. Former tight end straight-up called Tyreek Hill out, questioning why he gave up playing with Patrick Mahomes if he wants to win. A fair question, right? But Sharpe didn’t just stop there. Along with it, he added, “(The Dolphins) are getting tired of that (his social media antics). I don’t like when people become a victim in their own story. You created this, you wanted out of Kansas City.

On the other hand, Johnson noted that Tyreek Hill left Patrick Mahomes‘s Chiefs because he wanted “to get paid.” But Sharpe argued, “They were going to pay him, but you got to realize, Tyreek had years left on the contract. Now, when they came to him and they asked him what he restructured, he said, “No, I don’t believe, I signed the contract.” Then the next year, he wanted to redo his contract, even though he had said the year before, he signed the contract. I got no problem with that. You go to a guy that was injury-prone, oh, tell the people at home how did Tua come into the league….he was injury-prone in college, where they’re not nearly as physical as they are in the NFL. So, what do you think is going to happen?….I just don’t get these guys.

Tyreek Hill is now likely to move to the Los Angeles Chargers because the team is interested in signing him. But before anything happens, Shannon Sharpe has a straight warning to the Cheetah. He said, “No matter how great you are, they will move your a–, because they’re not going to let you become bigger than the team. Kansas City traded Tyreek and went to three straight Super Bowls. What does that tell you? Wide receivers ain’t doing nothing without (a quarterback). No matter who he is.

Since landing in Miami in 2022, Tyreek Hill has racked up 4,468 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns. No doubt, the man can perform. What he really needs now is a team built to win, along with a solid quarterback, strong teammates, and his own focus locked in on chasing that ring. But right now? It kinda feels like Hill’s more into the social media spotlight than the scoreboard.

Did Tyreek Hill's quest for a paycheck cost him a shot at more Super Bowl rings?

We all know that Tyreek Hill loves watching fans go wild in the comments. Perhaps that’s the reason he always comes up with such brain picking posts – that’s just his style. But here’s the thing… He now knows that no pastures are going to be greener than the other, as he might be counting his last few days in Miami, before any major update hits on the internet once again.

And if the reports are true, he can go to the Chargers, perhaps, hoping to win this time with Jim Harbaugh!
