The week 13 of the 2024 NFL season is over. The intense game between the Eagles and Ravens went to the former with 24-19. It was unbelievable. Lamar Jackson performed really well, with 23 of 36 passes in 237 yards with 2 touchdowns. But they couldn’t win. Analysts are now coming up with advice for the 2 time MVP.

During the December 2 episode of NFL on NBC, Mike Florio sat down with former NFL quarterback Chris Simms who had an interesting viewpoint. After watching the post game conference of The Eraser, he gave a powerful message to the quarterback that was, “He made it sound like when I drop back to pass if I don’t see anybody open I’m just going to run and he’s most dangerous when he’s been doing what he’s been doing. What we saw yesterday when he buys time and then finds Zay Flowers down the field wide open. That’s when they’re at their best.” That’s interesting. The QB might have to rethink his plans.

Expressing that he liked his energy, the ex-NFLer also mentioned that Lamar Jackson needs to be patient with his O-line. The offense has been doing good. They are the only team with 5000+ yards after week 13. In fact, the Ravens O-line is ranked number 1 in the league overall with 5,492 yards at an average of 422.5. That’s a big plus for them. To make sure that the QB understands his important message, Simms pointed out a must-win game which they lost because of QB over trying.

While referring to the 2020 Divisional playoff game when the Titans defeated Ravens 28-10, he said, “I just hope he doesn’t get frustrated and start to go start pressing and start going I got to make a play I’m going to make the big run right here when he does that. That’s when first round loss against the Tennessee Titans in the divisional round.” He’s right there.

There is no need to panic. The Ravens are still in a good position to enter the playoffs. They are 6th in AFC, among the wildcard teams. Even the QB is doing great.

Lamar Jackson ranked number 1 in the Pro Bowl rankings

The recently released Pro Bowl voting results ranked him number 1 among all the players in the league, not only the quarterbacks. After one week of voting, the quarterback got 44,681 votes. Even if check club-wise, the Ravens are 2nd favorite team, behind Detroit Lions. It sends a clear signal that they are fan favorites.

His performance this season has been amazing. In 13 games, Lamar Jackson has an 8-5 win-loss record that includes 254 of 379 passes (67% completion rate) in 3,290 passing yards with 29 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. It’s kind of unbelievable. He has the highest quarterback rating (116.3) among all NFL quarterback till week 13. The fans are favoring him to win the MVP this year too.

Only thing they need to do is keep themselves focused on the play. If they can play according to their strategies, they have a good chance of winning the Super Bowl. The Ravens Flock waiting to see them go big this year. It would be exciting.
