The Bengals have still not decided anything on Tee Higgins, and they are going to mess it up for Joe Burrow, whom Bengals fans see taking the team on a Super Bowl run. There is no word on Ja’Marr Chase‘s contract situation either, as he will hit free agency next season. But it’s high time they decide on Higgins, who is an impending free agent. Joe Burrow has been loud about wanting the front office to retain both players. For that, he is even ready to have contract restructuring talks with the management. But nobody knows why the team has been delaying these talks. With all this going on, WWE star Logan Paul has fired shots at Bengals fans, but more on that later.
It’s not only Burrow (subtly) and Paul (not so much) who have been calling out the Bengals’ management for delaying contract talks. Several analysts and fans have been voicing their frustration over the team’s mishandling of the roster. Amidst all this chaos, former QB Matt Hasselbeck dropped an interesting tidbit about the ‘old’ Bengals management. “I think the unfortunate thing for the Cincinnati Bengals, going way back, was that they were a team that wasn’t spending money. They weren’t spending money on scouts,” said Matt as he made a digital appearance on ‘The Herd with Colin Cowherd.‘
“Like, when I was coming out of the draft, every team had coaches and scouts. The Bengals had coaches who also did the scouting. I don’t think it was the worst thing, but, you know, back in the day, it was different,” he added. So, is the team once again unwilling to spend money on Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase? They did sign a massive $275 million deal with their QB, though. “Now, I think the Bengals are not the Bengals that they used to be. I think they’re willing to pay – I mean, they obviously paid Joe Burrow,” said Matt.

The other franchises out there are already eyeing Tee Higgins, and it’s no surprise that any team will happily rain dollars on the Bengals WR for the kind of player he is. So, the Bengals better make a move quick. Now, what beef does Logan Paul have with Cincinnati?

A WWE Raw show was happening in Cincinnati on Monday night. And when you’re in Cincinnati, the Bengals and Joe Burrow are bound to be brought up. Logan, taking a jab at the Cincinnati fan base, said, “You guys waste talent, just look at what you did to Joe Burrow.” The crowd reacted with loud boos to Paul’s statement. And if you think Paul was done for the day with that statement, you’re wrong. Logan stirred up more controversy as he slapped fellow wrestler CM Punk and then left the ring. You know you can never fall short of drama and entertainment when Logan Paul is in the ring.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (9) celebrates after the game-winning touchdown pass to Tee Higgins in overtime of the NFL Week 17 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Denver Broncos at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024. The Bengals took a 30-24 win in overtime to remain in the postseason chase.
Paul’s comments have created quite a frenzy in the NFL world. Burrow is already a hot topic among football fans these days. He has often been seen as the savior for Cincinnati. The QB racked up 4,918 yards with 43 TDs to his name in the regular season. He was also named the Comeback Player of the Year at the 2025 NFL Honors. But he didn’t get to what matters – the postseason. When your QB’s numbers look like those, you know he can take you on a Super Bowl run (as he already has).

For now, the only thing that seems to be a roadblock is whether the team is good enough to back up Burrow on the gridiron. So far, the Bengals have not wasted Burrow’s talent, but if they let star players like Higgins and Chase go, they’ll be entering that dangerous territory for sure.
