The buzz surrounding Travis Hunter is INSANE! With his ability as a great CB and WR, the young superstar can be a great addition to the NFL. But which position is he going to play in the future? Obviously, the man is talented and can play great on offense and defense. But he needs to focus on one position, right? A lot of speculations about this have surfaced recently. But who else to answer it better than an NFL legend. And that too ESPN’s NFL legend. The 21-year-old has impressed everyone so much with his abilities that even the iconic QB Dan Orlovsky couldn’t hold himself from giving Hunter suggestions about what he should be doing.
Throughout the 2024 season, Hunter showed off an incredible performance as a WR. His stats, you ask? Well those are off the roof. In 2024, the youngster set a CU season record with 14 touchdowns. Enough proof of his skills? It’s shocking for a player who was originally known for his tackles and interceptions to set an offensive record. And because of his performance, ESPN legend Dan Orlovsky compared Travis Hunter to NFL legends Randy Moss and Tyreek Hill. The former QB believes Hunter could be a better wide receiver than a cornerback.
“Sometimes when he gets the ball in his hands, Travis Hunter looks like Randy Moss. … Sometimes he looks like Tyreek Hill.” 😯

While talking about this on ESPN, Orlovsky mentioned, “Sometimes when he gets the ball in his hands, Travis Hunter looks like Randy Moss. … Sometimes he looks like Tyreek Hill.” Dan’s statements perfectly highlight the rushing strength Travis has. But that’s not it. He’s equally skilled on the defense as well. YEPP! The 21-year-old had an incredible 2024 in the Colorado Buffalos‘ defense unit. Leading the defense from the front, he finished the season with four interceptions and eleven pass breaks. Now you know why they call him a two-way player.
Hunter’s potential is something many NFL clubs would love to have. And hence we can see a lot of competitions between these teams. As there is more than one team going after him, it’s truly uncertain where he will go. Travis is hyped so much that he can even be a top-5 pick in the first round. Or who knows, maybe even the first overall pick. And if the rumors are right, then the Titans are also interested in making him their first overall pick.

Hunter earned the accomplishment at the Muhammad Ali Center. There, in an interview he said, “I’ve been with Coach Prime the whole time, so it wasn’t that much of a difference going from Jackson State to Colorado.
