The team that looked unbeatable all season finally hit a wall. And who stopped them? Yep, the Eagles—soaring high all year and ready to settle the score from Super Bowl LVII against the Chiefs. When the moment came for payback, they didn’t blink. Now, the Chiefs kingdom must be side-eyeing the Philly fans and they’re not gonna forget about it for a long time.

But let’s be real—the Chiefs have built a legacy that’s gonna be the talk of the league for years. I mean, if there’s any team that keeps getting mentioned in the same breath as the Patriots dynasty, it’s them. And Chiefs Kingdom knows it. Actually, scratch that—not just the fans, even the sideline reporters can’t help but recognize it. And that’s where Erin Andrews comes in.

The veteran Fox reporter recently hit up her official IG handle and shared a few moments with the Chiefs’ QB, Patrick Mahomes, the DT, Chris Jones, and the head coach, Andy Reid. Along with the pictures, Andrews shared gratitude and appreciation for the Kansas City team. She captioned, “Honored to even be able to cover these men and what they’ve accomplished in our league. They are classy and so accommodating. Forever grateful @chiefs.”

Honestly, when we talk about the Super Bowl coverage, then Erin Andrews is the best in the business. She just covered her fourth Super Bowl with FOX this year, besides 10 NFC Championship games. Speaking of the Super Bowl LIX, the 42-year-old got a chance to interview the Chiefs QB, Mahomes, right before the game kicked off. And Mahomes? Well, he was calm as usual before the biggest game of the season.

And when Andrews asked him how he felt, he replied, “Just enjoying it with the team. It’s always special…We’re excited for the opportunity.” On top of that, when Andrews asked him about the added pressure of the possible three-peat, the QB instantly shut down any such notion. “I don’t think there’s any added pressure. There’s always pressure coming into this game, but our guys are ready,” he said,

Though Mahomes and the Chiefs failed to achieve the historic three-peat, one thing’s clear, they are surely gearing up for a strong comeback in 2025. And Erin Andrews couldn’t agree more.

Erin Andrews on the rescue to support Travis Kelce after Super Bowl loss

Well, Andrews’ admiration for the Chiefs isn’t just limited to her social media post. She’s been a constant presence on the sidelines during the highs and lows of the team, especially after their 22-40 Super Bowl loss against the Eagles. During her latest episode of the Calm Down Podcast with Erin and Charissa on Tuesday, Andrews revealed how she comforted the Chiefs’ veteran tight end, Travis Kelce.

She told her co-host Charissa Thompson that she approached Kelce right after he exited the locker room. “The shot that they have of him coming out of the locker room, and now we know he was going up to the suite … I was actually coming off the field and he was just walking out,” Andrews saidShe further explained to Thompson that she “just walked up to him and he stopped, and I gave him a big hug and I was just like, ‘I’m so sorry, I love you, I’m so sorry.”

It’s safe to say the 42-year-old reporter holds a special place for the Chiefs. Though she knew that it wasn’t the right moment to approach him, she was well aware that the TE was her friend and she needed to say something to lift his spirit. And that’s what she actually did.

As for Kelce, well, the TE probably had the worst night of his 12-year-long career. After the disastrous Super Bowl loss, Kelce opted out of the post-game pressers. Since then, there’s a constant buzz around his retirement rumors. However, Patrick Mahomes cleared the air on all those rumors and stated that the TE still has a lot of football left in him.

“I’ll let Travis make that decision on his own,” Mahomes said when asked if retirement is on the cards for Kelce. “He’s given so much to this team and the NFL and been such a joy, not only for me to work with, but for people to watch, and he knows he still has a lot of football left in him and you can see it.”
