The odds favored the Ravens to win against the Miami Dolphins during the week 17. The whole NFL world potentially expected the same, given the performance of the Ravens all throughout the season. But what nobody expected was a completely one-sided match-up, something that actually took place at the M&T Bank Stadium.
And just like the fans, analyst Stephen A. Smith was thoroughly disappointed with the away side’s performance. He went on a rant on X after the Dolphins gave up 28 points in the first half, and started the second with a kickoff return. And with the way matters turned out for the Dolphins, his anger looks justified regarding the same.

Smith blasted the side saying they couldn’t even be competitive.
The Dolphins failed to get steadiness nearing the playoff
Gifted with arguably the league’s most robust offense, the Dolphins’ story has been a rollercoaster. Oftentimes, they have looked like a side trying to find a balance between the offense and defense: For example, the loss against the Titans. Something they are much more than capable of.

Given the side boasted the league’s most effective total defense up until recently, that sounds absurd. Not only did they lead the NFL with 52 sacks, but they also did it without their LB Jaelan Phillips, which describes their defensive prowess. But the question goes back to its reliability once again, as they couldn’t even put up a challenge in front of the Ravens.
