The biggest horror show for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs was released on Sunday, February 9. The Philadelphia Eagles ran the football seamlessly on the field, while the audience (KC team) sat on the sidelines. They watched the ultimate nightmare drag on for approximately 3 hours and 38 minutes. It allowed Philly to lift the Lombardi Trophy for a second time in the league. But that’s just the beginning as per a former Eagles player.

Ex-NFLer Emmanuel Acho played with Philadelphia for two years from 2013 to 2015. Although he wasn’t able to win a Super Bowl ring with the team, he is now pretty sure that the Eagles are on the run. As shared by Starcade Media on X, “Emmanuel Acho thinks the #Chiefs dynasty could be over as the #Eagles could be the new dynasty.”

The Eagles crushed the Chiefs in a 40-22 Super Bowl LIX blowout. So, yeah, we understand Acho’s confidence in the team. But the question is, are they really over the Chiefs, who were reigning SB champs for two years? Have the Eagles built a new dynasty? Well, Acho thinks so, as he believes that “the Chiefs’s dynasty could very well be over because of the Eagles.” But there is a condition. A condition that could help retain the Eagles their winning spot.

The former Eagles’ linebacker thinks, “The Chiefs dynasty is over if the Eagles do two things, retain Zack Baun and AJ Brown. If they do that, the Eagles will once again get back to the Super Bowl. You can’t be a dynasty if there’s a dynasty in the midst of your dynasty.” Baun’s one-year deal is about to over this offseason, while Brown is sticking with the Eagles through 2029.

Talking about the game, Brown went for 43 yards and a touchdown in the matchup, posing a strong offensive game. Even Baun intercepted Patrick Mahomes in the second quarter, leading the Eagles to a touchdown. This pivotal interception helped establish the team a dominant 24-0 halftime lead in the New Orleans game. His overall performance, which included a team-high seven tackles, a pass deflection, and a QB hit, contributed to the team’s victory. And as a result, it also flabbergasted Steve Young.

The Eagles inflicted the damage in the first half of Super Bowl LIX. They intercepted Patrick Mahomes twice, with one major turnover occurring when Zack Baun picked him off and set up the Eagles to take a commanding 24-0 lead. These mistakes, as well as the Chiefs’s overall loss, flabbergasted former quarterback, Steve Young.

During an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, Young pointed out, “He [Patrick Mahomes] threw the pick six. He got hit and threw the next pick, and all of a sudden, it’s 24 on nothing, and You’ve just put yourself in a bind you can’t get out of.” No doubt, by that time the game was nearly over for the Chiefs, as they couldn’t make a comeback after that. Hence, fumed Young added, “It felt like he would..he was looking for something great or amazing or super. You know, like the Superman stuff of his early days when he really just dropped it off, get it out blitz coverage.”

It’s not that Patrick Mahomes hasn’t made a comeback earlier. But all those returning points were not as big as that 24-point deficit! Even the 29-year-old knows this. That’s the reason he admitted after the Super Bowl loss – “It’s hard to come back from that in a Super Bowl.” But now fans hope that they will make a comeback in the next season again.
