Can the Lions maintain their momentum without Aidan Hutchinson, or is this a major setback?

The Detroit Lions defeated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. It wasn’t just a defeat; it was a kind of whitewash, which is evident from the score, 47-9. This means the party should have been palpable for the Lions. However, that wasn’t the case. Their Week 6 spectacular win didn’t come out as great as they were expecting. It is because of the gruesome injury of Aidan Hutchinson.

The defensive end of the Lions, Aidan Hutchinson suffered a serious leg injury in the third quarter of the game. This happened when he sacked Dak Prescott, “but his leg bent awkwardly when it hit his teammate Alim McNeill’s leg.” Hence, it brought chaos on social media, especially among the Lions’ fans. And if we are talking about Detroit’s faithful, how can we skip Eminem?

Hence, when Hutchinson got badly injured, the rapper took to social media to write the F-word: “F–ck” on X. However, Eminem didn’t clear the reason behind writing this cuss word, but many are speculating it to be related to Hutchinson’s injury.

Nevertheless, Hutchinson will now undergo immediate surgery for a fracture in his leg and will be put up in Dallas for the same reason. To give a clear view of the injury, head coach Dan Campbell, in a post-game presser, said that the pass rusher has suffered a broken tibia. He even added, “It’s hard when you lose somebody like him,” but assured the fans that the athlete is in “good hands.” However, if you ask the coach about his returning status, Campbell would say that Aidan Hutchinson is “down for a little while.” The coach refrained from giving a concrete timeline for his recovery.

Aidan Hutchinson is one of the best defensive players on the team, who racked up “19 total tackles, 7.5 sacks and a forced fumble through five games.” But now as he is out of the upcoming games, at least for a while, players like Maxx Crosby, and Trey Hendrickson could be the top targets to replace the injured player. Until then, the NFL community is with Hutchinson in his bad phase.

Dak Prescott shared a piece of advice for Aidan Hutchinson!

Although Aidan Hutchinson sacked Dak Prescott, this play didn’t ruin the respect the quarterback has for the Lions DE. Hence, while recalling his Oct. 11, 2020 incident where he too suffered a gruesome lower leg injury in the third quarter against the Giants.

So, while speaking with Hutchinson, Prescott said in a presser, “Having experienced it, knowing where he is in that moment, hated it, hated it for him, hated every bit of it. But for me initially, I just told him (to) keep his head up. It’s part of the story, I promise. The way that this guy started his career, the guy that he seems to be, not knowing him, he’ll be better after it. I know that’s probably hard to imagine right now.” Not only this!

Prescott was also seen speaking with Aidan Hutchinson multiple times while he was down. That’s so generous of him, for sure!
