The Cleveland Browns are hosting the New York Jets in the Week 17 game at their stadium. Ahead of the game, it was revealed that the star wide receiver of the Browns, Amari Cooper, is out of the Jets’ game after injuring a heel in his last matchup. So, one of the important responsibilities as a receiver came on the shoulders of Elijah Moore, who too, got a huge injury blow.

The Browns are on the brink of sealing their playoff berth this time after 2020. With 10 wins in their bank, QB Joe Flacco and team is aiming to defeat the Jets. However, a recent blow might impact the team’s exponential growth.

As the game progressed, Browns WR Elijah Moore, who was supporting the team on behalf of the injured Amari Cooper, got a hard blow on his head in the second quarter. His head hit hard on the grass when Jets’ linebacker C.J. Mosley tackled him from behind. Moore was seen lying flat on the ground in pain.

Furthermore, a beautiful thing that happened soon after that was that many Jets players took a knee while Moore was injured and were checking on him despite being his opponent. This was probably because Moore played with the Jets before being traded to the Browns.

However, it was good to see Moore back on feet after a few minutes of ‘scary’ lying on the turf. The players from both the teams surrounded him, and he was taken to the medical tent by the trainers. Later, he was out of the medical tent after evaluation and walked to the Browns’ locker room. Moore was diagnosed with concussion during halftime.

During his injury, the Browns were ahead with a score of 27-14.

Elijah Moore was the Browns’ top wide receiver for the game as Amari Cooper was sidelined with a heel injury. Although Moore had a slow start, he was gaining momentum with five receptions for 61 yards and a TD before exiting the game.

Now, without Moore, Joe Flacco is relying on David Njoku and Jerome Ford for passing options. Marquise Goodwin took over for Moore, but neither he nor rookie Cedric Tillman is expected to have much of an impact by the football enthusiasts, especially with the Browns missing their top two receivers.
