Back to the basics! There was a time when Randi Mahomes didn’t want her son to go to Texas Tech for his football career. Yes! Although she wanted him to become an NFL star besides an MLB player, the mother of three showed her mixed feelings when Patrick Mahomes decided to attend Texas Tech. Why?

Well, the reason was distance and uncertainty, as it was “situated in the vast expanse of west Texas, it felt like a world away from their east Texas roots.” So, when coaches asked about the school, she didn’t hesitate to confess, “I don’t think the school’s good enough.” Nevertheless, as destiny took Patrick Mahomes further with the school, Randi is happy now that her hard work of juggling in two jobs simultaneously for her children’s growth, her faith in Mahomes’ talent, and the school shaped Patrick’s NFL career very well. And it has been now eight years since Mahomes entered the league, arguably becoming one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL at present. Now after 8 years of shaping Patrick’s football career, momma Mahomes is back at her son’s career-shaping school.

A loud cheer for Texas Tech and clothing brands!

Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes, shared a story on her official Instagram account on August 31, 2024. In that story, she can be seen attending a football game at Texas Tech school, the alma mater of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, where he attended till 2016. Randi can be seen posing with her best friend, Teresa Jane, in a VIP box.

To support the Raiders in the game against the Abilene Christian Wildcats, Randi cheered for them by writing “Wreck ‘em Tech” in her story. But what caught more attention in her story was the outfits she and her bestie were wearing. Randi can be seen wearing a black tee with the Texas Tech logo printed on it, and she paired it with her blue denim.

While her friend, Jane was spotted wearing a white tee with “Rolls with Mahomies” written on it. Revealing the brand’s name, the 52-year-old tagged her and Jane’s outfits’ brand of the day – Texas True Threads and Sparkle City. Wearing these sparkling and fashionable outfits from these brands, both of the Texas Tech supporters appeared happy.

Apart from that, they also got another reason to be happy, as Texas Tech won against the Wildcats 52-51 on Saturday. So, going back to the roots turned out to be fruitful for Randi Mahomes. However, there’s another reason too for why she returned to Texas.

A milestone for Randi Mahomes?

A couple of days ago it was reported that Randi Mahomes and her bestie, Teresa Jane, are about to come to Texas for an event. But what was the event? So, actually, they headed to Lubbock, Texas for their first book, Play Together’s signing event. This children’s book is all about spreading kindness, as it portrays basic teachings for the young generation.

Mahomes and Jane, both moms, poured their hearts into this message-driven book, reminding all of the importance of lifting each other up. They visited South Plains Mall and as the authors, signed the books for their fans on Saturday, August 31. Not only this! Randi Mahomes and Teresa Jane will also meet their fans personally, as on Sunday, September 1, they will be sharing a Meet & Greet Brunch with the attendees at Cotton Court Hotel.
