We’ve never seen the Dallas Cowboys play so badly. It seems like Dak Prescott’s absence has really taken a toll on America’s team. So much so, that Jerry Jones outright admitted that the Philadelphia Eagles are a better team than his Cowboys. While the Dallas Cowboys are struggling with their QBs, Jalen Hurts isn’t facing the same issues.
Jalen Hurts completed 14 of his 20 passes and scored two passing touchdowns. However, he also threw an interception that landed in the hands of Trevon Diggs and that was the only highlight-worthy play for the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles didn’t let the Cowboys score after the second quarter and for Nick Sirianni, things couldn’t have been better.
Zach Berman of PHLY Sports took to X and posted Sirianni’s take on Jalen Hurts. “Nick Sirianni on Jalen Hurts: ‘There’s something to be said for guys who can rebound and play a really good game after things don’t go right early on. …He’ll want some of those plays back, but great job handling adversity. …He’s a winner. He knows how to win.’”

Jalen Hurts threw his first interception in the last six games. That was the longest attempts streak of his career without throwing a pick. The QB threw for 202 yards in the 34-6 win and now, the Eagles are 7-2 and will go against the Washington Commanders in the next game. With this win against the Cowboys, the Eagles are on a 5-game win streak.
Sirianni, often known for his impulsive character revealed a couple of days ago that Jalen Hurts was nursing an ankle injury. Initially, the team listed the Eagles QB on Wednesday for rest. But that turned into an ankle injury when Nick Sirianni accidentally slipped in front of the media. Check out what Sirianni said about Hurts ahead of the game against the Cowboys.
What’s your perspective on:
Are the Cowboys doomed without Dak, or can they bounce back against the Eagles' dominance?

“Yeah, he’s dealing with the…it was on the injury report. Dealing with the ankle and just making sure we’re cautious with him,” Sirianni told the media. The media caught the Eagles head coach slipping up and asked him some more questions on Hurts’ injury. But the Eagles’ PR manager stepped in to save Sirianni from the questioning. He hinted at the head coach to back off.
The Eagles HC haphazardly tried to salvage the situation and said, “It was a rest, yeah. Sorry. I thought you were talking about something else.” However, there are some more eyebrow-raising things about the Eagles that need to be addressed.
Sirianni thinks Jalen Hurts and the Eagles have learned their lesson
Though the Eagles are on a 5-game win streak, they have committed 10 turnovers in the past 3 games. That’s a lot of turnovers, but still isn’t as bad as what the Dallas Cowboys did in a single SNF game. However, Sirianni knows that it’s a learning curve for the team. And they don’t fail to take inspiration from wherever they can find it.

“Great teams learn from mistakes across the league, peewee football, high school football,” the Eagles HC said following the game where Jalen Hurts also had 2 rushing touchdowns over 56 yards. However, on the negative side, the defense sacked Hurts five times. Also, the Cowboys forced two turnovers on the Eagles.

Now the Eagles are 7-2 and are sitting at the top of the NFC. As mentioned earlier, they will be up against the divisional rivals. And they are the Washington Commanders, who just lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the SNF game.
