Tom Brady recently got an earful at his Netflix special roast! While the panel of comedians and NFL stars all took turns firing shots at the legendary quarterback, some punches hurt more than most. One such wisecrack was delivered by actor Will Ferrell about the former Patriots’ on-field nemesis, Eli Manning.

The former New York Giants quarterback has defeated Brady twice in the Super Bowl, in the seasons of 2007 and 2011. the feat gave enough opportunities for the panel of comedians and former teammates to pull the legend’s leg during his roast. While Manning couldn’t contribute in real time, he made sure to give a slick quip of his own on social media.

Eli Manning gives a hilarious explanation for his absence

While several of Brady’s former teammates and even the HC Bill Belichick were in attendance at ‘The Greatest Roast of All Time,’ one star who appeared to be missing was Eli Manning. Dressed as Ron Burgundy, Ferrell didn’t let the absence go unnoticed, though, and had some hilarious quips on the two’s NFL rivalry.

Underneath that dead robot of a quarterback, there’s a scared little boy,” he said. “Anyone notice? You don’t see Eli Manning here tonight, do you? No. That’s because he’s afraid of Eli Manning. Eli Manning made Tom Brady his b**ch. You’ll always be remembered as Eli Manning’s b**ch”

Though Manning missed his chance at roasting, the Giants star took to X to poke fun at Brady. The quarterback referenced his one-upping the Patriots legend twice at the Super Bowl, saying he didn’t want to repeat the insult a third time!

The two former NFL stars might have hung up their cleats, but glimpses of their iconic, lighthearted rivalry keep their games’ memories alive. The recent roast-reply saga was reminiscent of Manning’s diss at Brady in February’s Pro Bowl.

When Manning trolled Brady in a rap battle

The former Giants quarterback shifted to coaching after his retirement and mentored the NF team for the second consecutive time in this year’s Pro Bowl. Among the many fun events held that week was a rap battle with parody artist Supa Hot Fire. Apart from the rapper, Manning decided to drop some bars, taking shots at none other than Brady.

While the quarterback called the Patriots’ franchise star a “GOAT,” he didn’t shy away from flashing his Super Bowl wins, rap style. “I’m Eli Manning. I’m nice. Tom Brady’s the GOAT. Sike, I beat him twice. Hold me back, hold me back, hold me back.” Following his rap, Manning even recreated Supa Hot Fire’s iconic meme from over ten years ago.
