Can Travis Etienne Jr.'s return turn the Jaguars' luck around after a string of narrow losses?

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been unlucky this season. In the 6 games they lost, there were a few games that they could have won, including the week 8 game against the Packers, which they lost by 27-30. However, they are happy that one of their injured players is making a comeback. We’re talking about Travis Etienne Jr.

Head Coach Doug Pederson gave a clear signal about the running back’s comeback. He said that he ‘feels good‘ that Etienne Jr. would be playing during the week 9 game against the Philadelphia Eagles on November 3. That’s a huge boost.

Trevor Lawrence would be eagerly waiting for his O-line stalwart to come back to the fold. He has been good for the team in the last two seasons. While the 25th overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft missed the entire 2021 season because of injury, he made a good comeback in 2022 with 220 attempts in 1,125 rushing yards with 5 touchdowns in 12 games.

Taking his performance one step higher in the 2023 NFL season, Travis Etienne Jr. recorded 267 attempts in 1,008 in 17 games with 11 touchdowns in 17 games. That’s why the team was expecting him to give them the momentum. He tried but fell down in the week 6 game against the Chicago Bears, which the Jags lost by 16-35.

The offensive line did some good things. So that part of it was good and now we’ve just, somehow, got to get that to translate to the first play of the game and then carry on from there.
