After separating from her former husband Ed Kelce, Donna made sure to work hard day and night to help her children grow and succeed in their careers.

But when the actual fame came with constant spotlights on the two, momma admitted missing the normal life. As she earlier mentioned in an interview with Glamour, “We can’t go anywhere, really. If we want to do something, you have to rent out the restaurant or the movie theater or whatever. With struggling consequences of fame, there are also good things. And the recent one happened when Donna Kelce received the Women of the Year award (for being a great mom), presented by Glamour. And guess what? During her emotional speech on the stage, momma Kelce broke into tears, after recalling how successful her children have become today.

This emotion also came because she didn’t expect to see herself in the spotlight, as she mentioned, “Being in the spotlight wasn’t on my bingo card…Jason and Travis are kinda like my mentors,” on the stage.

In the shared speech video of Donna Kelce by Glamour on X, she could be seen genuinely amazed to be recognized alongside other iconic mothers, the women she deeply admired. In addition to that, momma Kelce also credited her sons, Chiefs TE, and former Eagles center, for helping her grow and evolve, saying that watching them succeed inspired her to reinvent herself.

Mom Donna Kelce can indeed achieve anything

Donna Kelce has been through her share of tough times, especially when it came to her marriage and divorce. During a recent interview with Glamour, she opened up about those struggles, revealing just how much she fought to stay strong for her two boys. As a commercial banker, Donna was determined to show them that women can achieve anything, no matter the circumstances. However, besides this phase, one major part of her life was what she went through in her marriage life.

Behind closed doors, her marriage to Ed Kelce was crumbling. And hence, they made the hard decision to stay together for their sons, even though they knew it wasn’t working. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t divorce. They did but at the correct time. Donna stood still in that difficult place, waiting for the right moment to move forward. And that moment finally came after Jason and Travis graduated from college. With a heavy heart but clear determination, Donna and Ed parted ways.

However, even after the divorce, they remained united as parents and continued to show up at their sons’ NFL games, side by side, always putting their boys first. Because for them, their kids come first!
