Donald Trump Tears Into Roger Goodell Over ‘Terrible’ Decision as Taylor Swift’s Chiefs Investment Rumors Gain Momentum

Donald Trump is a long-time football fan. However, it seems, he is more inclined to sports these days, especially after Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, showed her controversial support for him at the presidential elections. In return, that time, Trump acknowledged Brittany’s stand. However, now the former President came up once again to express his disbelief. But no, it’s not about Mahomes or Taylor Swift, it’s about Roger Goodell’s recent decision in the league.

During his appearance in Bussin’ With The Boys’ latest episode, Donald Trump reacted to some NFL questions on October 14, 2024. So, while having a discussion, he was asked to give his take on the recent change in the NFL, which is – the new kick rules, that was approved in March this year. Hence, while talking about it, Trump emphasized, “I think it’s terrible.” Although he didn’t explain the reason behind his dislike, one fact is clear he is completely against this rule. Now, this could also be probably due to fondness for previous things more than the new ones. Nevertheless, he praised the college’s decision for not to include this rule.

Roger Goodell and the league took this new kickoff rule decision with an aim to reduce injury risks and increase in number of returns. Hence, in this new rule, in the simplest terms, via CBS Sports, “no one except the kicker and returner(s) can move until a kickoff is actually fielded.” However, earlier the rule allowed for both the teams to move as soon as the ball was kicked.

Hence, Trump feels it’s a bad decision by Goodell. But guess what? He didn’t stop there! Donald Trump continued to tear Roger Goodell down while making the hosts count another rule that he thinks is unnecessary. During the discussion, Trump also pointed out that he likes the one-foot rule more than the two-foot rule of the league, due to its “complicated” nature.

Well it seems, there are a lot that Trump did not like about Roger Goodell’s decision in the league. One recent rumor related to Taylor Swift might be added to this list as well.

Taylor Swift to be the Chiefs’ minority owner?

Just around 1 year has passed since Taylor Swift showed her love for football while attending the Chiefs’ games. Now forget about her future plans with her boyfriend, here’s an interesting take. At present, the time has come when fans are even expecting the pop star to buy a part of the Chiefs’ ownership. Whoa! That’s strange, but interesting too!

This rumor is actually reported by Senior NFL reporter, Albert Breer, where he stated on X, “NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, with @TomBrady approved as a Raiders limited partner, was asked if anyone has approached @taylorswift13 about buying a piece of the Chiefs. He laughed and said, “If she’s interested, I think she has the ability to do it.””

So, does that mean, like Brady, Swift might join the league for business reasons, rather than just because of her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce? Well, neither she nor Kelce has said anything about it yet, but Swifties might love it if this happens.
