Trump wrote: “I hate Taylor Swift.” The pop sensation went on the ‘Gram, supporting Harris in the 2024 election, and urging her fanbase to vote and maintain their focus. This comes after a bunch of fake AI-generated pics claiming she was Team Trump—something he graciously promoted last month.

When the Swift endorsement got over 3.2M likes in an hour, it made headlines. Trump wasn’t amused. He vented his displeasure on Fox & Friends. “Out of nowhere, after the debate last night, Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris,” asserted host Steve Doocy. Trump’s reply? “Well, I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better… She’s a big Trump fan. I was not a Taylor Swift fan, and it was just a question of time.”

Trump’s not-so-subtle jab at Swift included a comparison to Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes. He praised Brittany for her MAGA leanings and mentioned, “Brittany got a lot of news last week.” The United States’ 45th President’s affection for the Chiefs QB’s wife stands in stark contrast to his clear disdain for the star singer. “She’ll probably pay a price for it,” Trump warned, adding Swift “always endorses a Democrat” and “couldn’t possibly endorse [Joe] Biden.”

Brittany Mahomes liked (and then disliked) a pro-Trump IG post, sparking some speculation about her political leanings. But this small social media blip hasn’t caused a major rift between her and Swift. On top of Trump’s harsh words, conservative voices are split. Fox News’s Mark Levin called Swift an “imbecile” for backing Harris, stirring up more drama. And then there’s Elon Musk, who made waves with a seriously bizarre reaction.

Elon Musk just made a play for the creepiest comment of the year. Following Taylor Swift’s IG endorsement of Harris, the billionaire made a strange offer: “Fine Taylor, you win.” I will give you a child and die protecting your cats.” 

Musk’s comment backfired on social media. Former Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway’s daughter, Claudia Conway, said, “You’re creepy. Full stop.” Pro-democratic data scientist Armand Domalewski added, “The richest man on the planet casually telling a woman he’s not dating that he’s going to put a baby in her is so skin-crawlingly creepy.”

The pop star’s ‘Childless Cat Lady’ sign-off, a dig at JD Vance’s 2022 statements, started the storm. Musk, with 197M X followers, drew attention away from Swift’s politics and towards his frightening comment.
