Miami Dolphins’ WR Tyreek Hill is well-known for his 22.07 mph speed on a 15-yard catch. The same goes for his 4.29-second time in the 40-yard dash at West Alabama’s Pro Day. However, he wants to be like former CB Darrell Green. Green may be 64 years old, but his longevity and athleticism impressed the 30-year-old Hill.

The words of praise from Hill came shortly after Green recently showed off his smooth moves. The clip established how the former NFL star practiced his impressive footwork for the camera. Hill reshared the clip, clearly amazed at Green’s agility, and captioned it, “This is amazing hope I’m moving like this at 64.”

Even though the former Commander was called ‘Ageless Wonder’ thanks to his ability to stay agile, his moves were surely a surprise for many. It seems the cornerback’s fluidity and speed have managed to remain intact.

Both Hill and Green are known for their speed. In fact, they are counted among the fastest players in the league.

Tyreek HillIn 2023, Hill reached 22.01 mph while running 64 yards for a touchdown. He also recorded a quick 4.29 seconds in his 40-yard dash.
Darrell GreenReached an unofficial 4.15 seconds in the 40-yard dash in 1983 and even won the NFL’s Fastest Man competition four times.
Champ BaileyAt the 1999 NFL Combine, Bailey ran the 40-yard dash in 4.28 seconds.
Deion SandersRan an unofficial 4.21 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the 1989 Combine.

Other noteworthy mentions: Bob Hayes took 10.06 seconds in a 100-meter dash; Bo Jackson clocked in 4.12 seconds for the 40-yard dash; Randy Moss recorded a 4.25-second 40-yard dash at the 1998 Combine.

Clearly, Tyreek Hill and Darrell Green are amongst the fastest the NFL has seen. And it is no surprise that even after 22 years of retirement, ‘Ageless Wonder’ has what it takes to be the fastest.

Darrell Green’s jersey retirement!

Just last month, Darrell Green officially became the fifth player in Commanders’ history to have his number retired. The announcement came straight from the team’s new owner, Josh Harris. This might not have been so surprising for the Commanders’ faithful. Green was not only known for his speed but held multiple records throughout his NFL career that wrapped up in 2002. The former CB is also well-known for giving back to the community and has continued to stay devoted despite his retirement.

The announcement might have felt long overdue to some fans. However, Green told ESPN, “It means a ton to me.” He continued, “I never thought about this, never dreamed about it, never asked about it, whatever. But when it was spoken to me, it blew me away. It caught me. It touched something down on the inside of me that I didn’t know was there.”

The former cornerback also added, “So now I’m very humbled by this, but this is huge. This is a big deal, and I’m grateful for that.” With that, it was official. No. 28 had been retired for good from the Commanders’ crew.

The 2-time SB winner has left an indelible mark in the annals of NFL History. Not only did he get a HOF induction, but also achieved another great honor- one that was long overdue. And there’s no denying the fact that the 1983 draft deserves it after spending two exceptional decades with the team.
