After 11 years, the video game giant EA Sports decided to bring back “EA SPORTS™ College Football 25.” While people already have their hands full with Madden, they might find themselves playing as top NCAA players soon enough. However, people are worried about whether the comeback game will be as exciting as its counterpart. Tyreek Hill sure is.

Hill took to X and voiced his opinions about the game that is set to be released on July 19, 2024. Till now, EA has refrained from providing any gameplay footage, but the rumors are that a “full reveal” might just be released today. But Hill wants the game to live up to its hype, and his post on X suggests that he’ll press the $33 billion video game giant if the game turns out to be underwhelming.

Hill’s post on X was more of a mockery than a threat. But it sounds like he is keen on living his college days all over again. The Miami speedster’s post said, “If we waited this long and NCAA trash Ima be so hot 😂.” But judging by the cover of the game, it looks pretty exciting because we can see some familiar faces.

The game has Texas QB Quinn Ewers, Colorado WR Travis Hunter, and Michigan RB Donovan Edwards as its Standard Edition cover, so what’s not to like? But the Deluxe Edition cover is even more exciting as it shows Georgia QB Carson Beck, Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins, and Roll Tide QB Jalen Milroe. But this information came after these screenshots were leaked on the PS Store.

The game is set to be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. But for what it’s worth, EA is excited to bring the game to college football enthusiasts. Daryl Holt, EA Sports SVP and Group GM said, “We’re proud to be able to incorporate thousands of current athletes in College Football 25, and featuring this trio of playmakers and their iconic college programs on the cover is a perfect fit as we usher in a new era for EA Sports and college football. I can’t wait for the world to learn more about the game tomorrow.”

But to get to this point, EA had to jump through a lot of hoops.

Apparently, they were set to release the game in 2021, but there were some legal issues with the game. Per reports, EA was not compensating the college players enough for their trademarked appearance in the game. A student-athlete licensing company called The Brandr Group filed claims that the game paid “significantly below market value” to the athletes.

But it seems like all is well now because EA is all set to release the game on July 19 this year, and the game is available through pre-order at this moment. But EA is also offering another bundle that will combine CFB 25 and Madden 25 for football enthusiasts.
