Is Tyreek Hill's trolling of Isaiah Rodgers the best NFL banter we've seen this season?

I like trolling and making people mad….That’s the fun part of it, riling people up.Tyreek Hill has never shied away from trolling or voicing out his stance on any sports entity or team. This time again, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver has brought some entertainment to his fans, while making others unhappy with a whole uproar on social media.

On August 13, 2024, Hill took to his official X account and posted “Trent Richardson.” Strange! The former Colts player, Richardson, who wore jersey number 34, is often considered a flop in the NFL. This was reportedly because of his short career that lasted for just five seasons. But why did Hill take his name? Well, tweeting his name wasn’t just a random reference from Hill.

The backstory is that Eagles cornerback Isaiah Rodgers had shared a tweet on his X profile, saying, “34 jerseys still in the stands at Lucas,” the Indianapolis Stadium. Rodgers, who was drafted in 2020, is a former Colts player. He also wore jersey number 34 just like Richardson, and that’s why Hill trolled him by saying Richardson’s name. However, there’s more to the story!

After being suspended for violating the league’s gambling policy, Eagles CB Rodgers hasn’t played any game for them. So, while recalling his time in Indianapolis, he made that tweet. It was a way for him to remember his days on the field. And guess what? He even got support from his fans, who expressed how much they missed him in the league, hoping for his return this year. However, this immense support perhaps didn’t sit well with Tyreek Hill.

Taking to the X, Hill brutally trolled Rodgers by commenting Richardson’s name. The reason behind Hill’s subtle jab, as per speculations, implies that Rodgers might flop or face challenges after his suspension. Therefore, comparing Rodgers to Richardson could be a harsh troll, especially since Rodgers has yet to play an NFL game in Philadelphia (after suspension). Richardson, on the other hand, who exited the league due to poor performance and injuries, was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list before his departure.

So, officially, Richardson only played three seasons, where he “recorded 614 rushing attempts for 2,032 yards (3.3 yards per carry) and 17 touchdowns, along with 113 catches for 912 yards and two touchdowns in 46 games, including 37 starts.” So, does that mean Hill thinks the same career end for Rodgers just like that of Richardson? Well, it remains to be seen.

Until then, the Cheetah has the habit of taking jabs at sports entities, or even challenging them – just like he did recently to the Olympic gold medalist.

Tyreek Hill is sure that he can beat Noah Lyles!

Tyreek Hill is known for his impressive speed in the NFL. However, he isn’t just fast on the field. The catch is, he believes he could outrun an Olympic champion! Yes, you heard it right! When American sprinter Noah Lyles made headlines with his comments about U.S. players being called “world champions,” Hill couldn’t stay silent. He declared, “I would beat Noah Lyles [in a race]. I wouldn’t beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles” in Up & Adams Show. And to everyone’s surprise, this might not just be the talk.

If we look at the history, Hill has a track background that speaks for itself. He “ran a 9.98-second 100-meter race in junior college and also won a bronze medal in the 200 meters at the World Junior Championships in 2012.” So now, with Lyles, who just won a gold medal in Paris (clocking a personal best of 9.784 seconds), Hill is ready to put his speed to the test.

So, could this be the race everyone’s waiting for?
