“I like trolling and making people mad.” Maybe Tyreek Hill is successful in this latest playful banter too between him and the Olympics star, Noah Lyles. The 27-year-old who recently won a gold medal in the men’s 100m final of the Paris Olympics 2024 after completing the race in 9.784 seconds, was challenged by the Miami Dolphins star WR.
During a recent appearance at the Up & Adams podcast, Hill claimed, “I would beat Noah Lyles. I’m not going to beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah Lyles.” However, this likely didn’t fit well with the Olympics star, who clapped back at him saying, “What’s the Cheetah guy from football??? Well, I can’t remember his name.” And now to continue this banter, evoking fire on the internet, Hill’s teammate too, joined in the crosstalk to take a jab at Lyles.

NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe shared a video interview of RB Raheem Mostert on his official X account on August 16, 2024. During the talk, the Dolphins running back was asked his stance on recent Tyreek Hill and Noah Lyles’ banter, especially after the Olympics star’s remarks, and also if he would join in the race.

Mostert said, “I mean obviously it takes training, right? We definitely have to get the training in but honestly, um, I think it was for all pretty good. Um, I like our chances, I like our odds. Um, we can definitely make some noise in that regard.” This also came after Hill tweeted “I like me in a race 2028 I’m running” on his X account.
Therefore, Mostert praised Hill saying about himself that he enjoys the fun and competitive energy around Hill, who is considered one of the fastest players in the league. So, are they the fastest? According to the reports, Mostert “holds the title for the fastest ball carrier since 2018, clocking in at 23.09 mph in Week 2 of the 2020 season.”
Whereas Hill’s speed is clocked for 100m and stands at 10.19 seconds (his personal best time). But meanwhile, it’s important to note that earlier Mostert himself has claimed that he can beat Hill in speed.

Have an interesting take?
Who is faster: Raheem Mostert or Tyreek Hill?
There is no doubt that Raheem Mostert and Tyreek Hill both possess good speed. But who is the fastest between the two? As the stats show Hill being faster than Mostert, according to the running back it’s not what’s true! Mostert is confident in his speed and believes he’d win a race against his Miami Dolphins teammates Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
During an interview on The Rich Eisen Show last year, Mostert explained why he feels this way. He acknowledged that Hill is quick but emphasized that his own strength lies in his long strides.

He said, “Oh yeah, hands down, I win this race. Look, I’ll tell it like this, Rich. When it comes to a race, right, Tyreek is fast, don’t get me wrong, but I can break down his speed. He has more of that quick twitch to him, too. For me, I’m more of a long-strider; once I get going, it’s hard to catch me, it’s hard to beat me.”

Not only that, Mostert also brought Waddle into the game. He said Jaylen Waddle falls somewhere between Hill and himself in terms of speed, however, he made sure to praise both the players, including De’Von Achane, noting his incredible burst of speed. Saying this, Mostert certainly believes that with their combined speed, the Dolphins could dominate any race, even suggesting they’d win a 4×100 relay without a doubt.
So, maybe they can give a good competition to Noah Lyles, after all!
