The Miami Dolphins gave Tua Tagovailoa a generational contract only to watch him go down with a gruesome injury. How long can the QB keep sustaining those hits? Some people even implored the Miami QB to retire. But he’s doing the opposite, he’s coming back soon. However, Mike McDaniel is cautious and is already scouting for new players to add to the roster.
The Miami HC is attending the Texas Longhorns–Georgia Bulldogs game and he’s not alone. The Miami head coach chose Jim Nagy, a scout for nearly two decades the new Executive Director of Reese’s Senior Bowl, to accompany him to the Texas Memorial Stadium. The game had been a disaster for the Longhorns in the first half and that might sway McDaniel’s mind.
FinsXtra just uploaded a post on X that’s titled: “Miami Dolphins have scouts in attendance at tonight’s Texas vs. Georgia game (@JimNagy_SB) #GoFins.” The photo shows McDaniel attending Texas and shaking hands with Xavier Worthy, but this photo might be a bit older. Anyways, taking trips to Texas isn’t something new for Mike McDaniel.

In fact, a fan reported that this is the second time the Miami Dolphins head coach was spotted at U of T. Others believe that Miami wants to draft linemen on both sides of the ball in the upcoming draft. However, if they want, they can still do it as the trade deadline is November 5. Who knows?
What we do know is Texas stitched up a horrible first half against Georgia and didn’t put up a single point on the board till the second quarter. While Travis Etienne and Peyton Woodring did laps around the Longhorns, the Texas team struggled to find their groove with Quinn Ewers. So, the Longhorns decided to try something.

Quinn Ewers put up embarrassing numbers in the first half and on top of that, he even threw a pick. That’s why he was pulled in favor of Arch. Manning stepped in, threw for 19 yards, and was later benched as Texas decided to put Ewers back in. These inconsistencies at quarterback might hurt the Longhorns’ spotless 6-0 record.
Another reason Ewers might have been benched is because he rushed for negative 24 yards over 4 carries and it really doesn’t help him gain the confidence of these scouts. If Mike McDaniel is out there looking for a quarterback, he certainly isn’t seeing anything out of the ordinary. But if it helps Arch Manning’s case, he did go 2-0 as a starter in Quinn Ewers’ absence.

Manning has played 4 games this season and already has 901 yards and 9 touchdowns to his name. Even astonishing is the fact that he’s only thrown two interceptions in these games.
